Unbelievably friendly and warm staff who gladly gave expert travel advice and recommendations that only a Roman would normally be privy to. - Loic Diels
I LOVE this website and will gladly recommend it to anyone headed this way. Nothing disappointed us! - Mary-Iris Taylor
I have been using Cross-Pollinate for about 10 years now. The service is consistently great and I can always find just the kind of apartment we like, at the right price. - Hirani Himona
A really great idea - with a network of hand picked little rooms/guesthouses. If only we could have this in more city destinations! - Zoe Buck
I love Cross-Pollinate and every time we go to a new city I look to see whether they have some accommodations over there. - Arantza Aldea
The two places I have stayed at from Cross-Pollinate have been among the best across Europe. Highly recommended. - Nicholas Burn
Thanks a lot to Cross-Pollinate for the opportunity to experience a city as an insider! We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Venice and look forward to more. - Tatiana Marchenko
Cross-Pollinate was very helpful when the owner of the B&B wanted to charge us for the baby under 2 y o. It would have been difficult without them since the owners did not speak any english. - Yulia Pichugina
This was our only stay with a C-P apartment and we were very pleased with the entire process. Will look to use them again on our next Europe trip! - Anthony Giglio
Great web site and quick response from the team a CP made the whole experience easy and hassle free. I have already recommended CP to quite of few of my airline industry colleagues and I'm sure they will make use of their excellent service. - Shane Pickles

Cross-Pollinate was very easy to use, and it is so much better to stay in places like these than big corporate hotels; you get a much better feel for the place. - Kaspar Deane
Very straight forward. Well done. Definitely would use it again. Love these type of alternatives to hotels! - John White
Cross-Pollinate was fantastic and easy to use. We used Cross-Pollinate to book a room in Florence (the second leg of our trip), which was everything I thought it would be. We have recommended Cross-Pollinate to our friends. - Barbara Carlin
Cross-Pollinate are great - the descriptions are accurate and they are very responsive to questions. - Dominique Bayne
Cross Pollinate was just the best. I had tried a couple of places before coming upon them. As soon as I sent the first email I stopped looking for any more websites. I just wish they expanded to every city in Europe. Their knowledge, helpfulness, etc. was second to none. - Caroline Collis
Angolo Fiorito B&B
This new B&B is owned and run by the same family that owns Ca' Riccio and a handful of apartments also in the area. When you enter the B&B there's a self-serve breakfast room on the left, and a small double with 140cm wide bed on the right with private bathroom.

Each floor up has two rooms that can connect to be a family room suite - one with toilet and one with full bathroom and shower. Each one has a double bed and can be connected by a hallway, then closed off to the stairwell.

At the very top is the "mansarda" or attic - a large double room with bathroom but with low ceilings.

The standard double, therefore, is with a 140 cm wide bed and private bathroom - either the attic or the other floors, depending on availability. For an extra 15 euro per night, you can upgrade to the larger double with 180 cm wide bed. This can be requested on the reservation form, as well as any other notes about needing to be on a lower floor or not being in the attic (which I don't recommend for tall guests).

The entire place has nice fixtures, comfy beds, and large TVs. The breakfast room is quite nice and the location is perfect. It's just far enough from the crowds that run between the Rialto and San Marco that you feel that you have some peace, and yet it's well connected to the station and all the sites as well as the boats that service other islands and the airport from the outer lagoon. From here you can walk to the station in about 25 minutes, or the Rialto in 10 minutes.

Elizabeth on May 2017:

The friendliness and flexibility of the host
Changed our reservation to Ca'Riccio the day we were flying to Italy and we did not have directions to get there. With our original reservation we were walking to the place, but we tried walking here and got horridly lost. It was very stressful
I liked using cross pollinate because it gave us good pointers and trusted locations when going city to city

From the owner: we're sorry you had a hard time with directions - Venice can be confusing. Just to clarify - we notified you 1 week before your arrival, asking if it was ok to give you a room at our other property in the same area and for the same price. We also sent detailed directions. Again, our apologies for any inconvenience this caused.
Carol Sanford on Apr 2016:

We stayed for one week. Comfortable room on first floor, and friendly staff. Located only one block from vaporetto stop at Fundamente Nuove, so you don't have to haul luggage over bridges on canals. Very quiet at night. Had both tea and coffee at breakfast, and available during the day.
Crowded in breakfast room. Too many chairs.
Cross Pollinate is always excellent! We have used them before.
Josephine on Nov 2015:
The hotel is located a block from a vaporetto stop (Fondamento Nouve) and we can see a portion of the canal from our window, without the noise of being in the canal front. Check- in was very efficient, despite us being slightly early. the owner, Rachele was very helpful. There was a kitchen with a fridge, cooker, snacks, tea and coffee making facilities. The bedroom was new and well fitted, the ensuite particularly well thought out as it also had a bidet (unusual nowadays with BBs). There was also room air conditioning and well glazed windows. There was a balcony with French doors just in front of the room which made the area really airy and fresh as well as an additional door in front of it which afforded more privacy and quiet.
Slaq on Nov 2015:
Both the property and the room were very cute, comfortable and clean. The staff were truly nice and available. Great location too.
