La Luna Studio
La Luna Studio is a cute studio apartment in the heart of Venice, perfect for people wanting the privacy and independence of an apartment, without the necessity for a full kitchen, but for a great price!

The studio has a corner equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities and stocked for your immediate needs, a fridge and microwave (no stove or sink though). There's a bedroom, a living room area and a bathroom. The apartment is elegantly furnished and in a nice overall setting (you'll find anything you'll need in the immediate surroundings).

It's managed by a Venetian couple who know how to make their guests feel special and welcome (they even provide a little hotel-like welcome basket with shampoo, soaps, etc so you know you're on vacation).

When we arrived in Venice, we were pick-ed by Signor Zennaro, the very sympathetic owner at the Rialto bridge getting out of the vaporetto. We felt immediately welcome at his lovely city ! The studio was good value for the price, larger than we expected, The location of the studio was very central, a few walks away of many sightseeing attractions. Very handy, certainly if you are in Venice just for the weekend.
Can't imagine what.
I had used Cross-Pollinate's services when I was last year in Rome with my family. As I had a very good experience, I decided to contact Steve again for Venice. I have recommended Cross-Pollinate to my friends. He's professional, efficient and very helpful !

Location ! It was really close to Rialto stop and a stone's throw from the bustling S.Bartholomew square so we could come back in between for a break in the afternoons and still stay out late. Carlotta was very helpful and even lent us an iron box since my clothes were creased. Mr. Zennaro met us on time and took us to the place and also provided a place to store our baggage even after check-out time. Highly recommended for couples as it is a cute little place just as described.
If the elevator can be fixed, it would help a lot since carrying the luggage up 3 stories was an effort. Of course we only had to do this once up and once down. Also the kitchen supplies were very minimal except for coffee sachets and sugar though it is mentioned in the description. It was not a real problem since Carlotta did get us extra when we requested.
Awesome. Steve helped me a lot in narrowing down the place based on my preferences for a lovely cozy place in probably the most romantic city in the world! Thanks Cross-Pollinate. I really wish you would expand to more cities !

The location. The owner,Mr Zennaro, is a lovely gentleman. He reliably met us at the Rialto stop which was easy to find with his good directions. The appartment is lovely and light.
Our only criticism would be that we would love to see two small fold out racks provided for suitcases. The type of rack that you often see in hotels. There is a wardrobe in the appartment but most travelers are only in locations for a few days and so don't necessarily make use of them. Most appartments don't provide them but I think they'd be a marvelous addition and wouldn't be too expensive I imagine.
Cross Pollinate is an excellent site. I will be recommending it to others.

Very nice sunny studio to get over jet lag. This was our first stop following a long flight. The windows opened on a little piazza with lots of activity but when the windows and shutters were closed, not a sound. Very nice to have a refrigerator. 4th floor walk up so got us in shape for the rest of our travels.
Nothing
As always, Cross-Pollinate never disappoints. In 10+ years of using their services, we have always been very happy with their lodgings and service. Steve and Amy are just an email away and answer promptly

The place was in a great location. Close to the Rialto Bridge, vaparetto stop, and some good restaurants. Mr. Zennaro was very helpful even though we couldn't speak Italian. Enjoyed the stay!

It was clean, neat, & the location was fabulous! Felt very safe. Gentleman settling us in, was friendly.
Consistency of internet. Shampoo or soap to be provided. Not for anyone with a walking handicap, located at the top of the 3rd level of the building.
The experience was a good one! Communication, despite the language barrier, was thorough and directions were clear. Would definitely stay again! :)

This place is a wonderful value for being so centrally located - minutes from Rialto and San Marco, but just off the beaten path. It is also quite spacious for Venice. We loved Senor Zennaro - he is molto gentile, and we managed to communicate just fine with my limited Italian and his limited English. He gives enthusiastic restaurant recommendations, especially if you like fish, and he drew the locations on the map for us. A great Enoteca is literally a few feet from the door (one of Senor Zenarro's suggestions).
The bathroom is quite nice but quite small, so if you are tall like my son (6ft 5 inches) you may find the shower cramped when you try to pick up the shampoo off the floor (no shelf to put it on). Would have rated comfort at 5 stars otherwise.
Very helpful and responsive - will use again if we get the chance!

The room was just what we needed for our three night stay in Venice. Central (not far from the Rialto bridge stop), spacious, clean andsituated above a good traditional osteria (al portego) where we celebrated each evening with wine and chiccetti on finding our way back through the venetian maze of narrow streets (advise to bring a paper map, Google maps does not work well in Venice!). Owner met us at the Rialto stop exactly as agreed in e-mail instructions and was very friendly.
We had no complaints.
Cross-Pollinate was great, giving us quick and customized advice. Booking procedure was painless and hassle-free. Will be using again and recommending.
Sheila Wooller on Oct 2013:

Location was good. Good kitchen facility. Attractive interior.
The owners instructions were confusing on how to meet them. No address was given. We had to use a unfamiliar pay phone to contact them. It took us two extra hours to get in contact.
Admin on 28. Oct 2013:
I'm not sure how you couldn't of had an address - it's in the confirmation letter we sent and without that you wouldn't of had their contact number either. Perhaps you copied only their number and not the address? In any case, Venice is confusing to all!

Great location! Got lost the first night (after already having checked in) trying to find it but we did. Super close to Rialto Bridge but off the path so it was relatively quite. Very clean. Mr. Zerranno was a sweet man. Doesn't speak English which made things a bit hard, but he was like an adorable grandpa type. Mini Fridge and microwave were helpful. Nice warm water with good water pressure.
Beds are hard. But we found that everywhere in Italy. It's 2 twin beds put together. No internet. 3rd floor was rough carrying up luggage so if you have a lot or are older and struggle with stairs, its not recommended. Don't know if the elevator worked. Wish they supplied iron and ironing board.
Great service! I was so happy I found them. It made our trip a lot more unique than just staying in a hotel everywhere.
Luann McVey on Jun 2013:

The apartment is large, bright, and clean. Great location, and so nice to have dishes, fridge, microwave oven, and panini grill!. Michele was very helpful to us. There's a great place to eat across the alleyway and a Coop grocery store nearby.
Communication of our arrival time between the owners and Michele would have improved our stay there, as we waited for 30 minutes before calling, incurring international roaming charges on my phone. Also, we would have loved Internet in the apartment.
I wish CP extended to other cities, as well!
Brian on Jun 2013:

The location of La Luna Studio is perfect, close to the Rialto Bridge. The studio is every bit as good in person as it is in the photos. Better even! The space is very charming, has nice windows to open and also cold air conditioning which we really appreciated during our stay in June. Everything is newly finished with very good taste. My wife and I speak very little Italian and the owner speaks very little English, but we were able to check in successfully at 9pm after a very long day of travel. We were provided with good email instructions to meet, and despite a little delay in arriving, all went well. We would highly recommend the La Luna Studio to anyone we know traveling to Venice. Thanks for sharing your space!
Our only complaint is for the mattress. The bed was comfortable, but it's made up of two twins pushed together. Looking back, it's clear in the photos, but we missed that detail. Just something to be aware of.
Sandra on May 2013:

Central location. Room was very nice...clean and comfortable. Nice restaurants in the immediate area.
Although there was a fridge, coffee maker and a table to eat at there were few dishes, no cutting board and washing up had to be done in the bathroom. It is nice to eat breakfast and the occasional lunch in the room but it was not really a suitable setup for anything but a cup of tea.
Some confusion over meeting to be let into the room. Although we emailed a time to meet ...apparently that information was not forwarded. Otherwise, everything was fine.
