A really great idea - with a network of hand picked little rooms/guesthouses. If only we could have this in more city destinations! - Zoe Buck
I love Cross-Pollinate and every time we go to a new city I look to see whether they have some accommodations over there. - Arantza Aldea
The two places I have stayed at from Cross-Pollinate have been among the best across Europe. Highly recommended. - Nicholas Burn
Thanks a lot to Cross-Pollinate for the opportunity to experience a city as an insider! We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Venice and look forward to more. - Tatiana Marchenko
Cross-Pollinate was very helpful when the owner of the B&B wanted to charge us for the baby under 2 y o. It would have been difficult without them since the owners did not speak any english. - Yulia Pichugina
This was our only stay with a C-P apartment and we were very pleased with the entire process. Will look to use them again on our next Europe trip! - Anthony Giglio

Cross-Pollinate are great - the descriptions are accurate and they are very responsive to questions. - Dominique Bayne
Cross Pollinate was just the best. I had tried a couple of places before coming upon them. As soon as I sent the first email I stopped looking for any more websites. I just wish they expanded to every city in Europe. Their knowledge, helpfulness, etc. was second to none. - Caroline Collis
Angolo di Roma B & B

The rooms all have private bathrooms with showers, TV, mini-safes, are warmly painted and decorated with an amazing collection of antique objects and original movie posters. Luca was spot on with checking us in. The location was 15 minutes to the train station and to the Colosseum. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were surprised that there was wifi in the room as the Cross Pollinate site did not reflect this and we almost didn't stay there because of that. Loved the lovely breakfast in the Bar with the coupon he gave us. GREAT place, would stay again.
There was no sign on the exterior door reflecting the name Angolo di Roma only the name Vacacannes Roma which they are associated with. It would have been nice to have Angolo di Roma on the exterior door to let us know that it was the correct building.
Awesome professionals. Needed a refund for another reservation cancellation and there was no problem with that. Everything they do administratively is top notch. Keep up the good work. I have already referred your site to friends.

V. helpful owner, original decor, fridge and tea/ coffee making facilities, good area with lots of reasonably priced restaurants for evening meal.
Stairs up to B&B a bit dingy and did not give a good first impression. We paid upon arrival and owner said he would leave the receipt in our room but we didn't get it.
Great - will definitely use again.

The manager was very personable. He was very helpful in giving us information about Rome. Nice guy. The breakfast of a pastry and coffee was excellent, very delicious and convenient. The B and B was a good value for the location.
Our room could have been freshend up a bit more, there was some stains and areas that could have been touched up with paint. The bathroom was a little dirty.
Crosspollinate was very informative and helpful. I will certainly use them again.

Nice, clean, welcoming. We had a pleasant stay there, everything went smoothly. Communication was good. We got a simple breakfast at a nearby café which was really appreciated. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and facing into the backyard which made it quiet. It was small, but then we did not come to Rome to spend much time in the room. There was a little fridge in our room and the aircon worked miracles whenever coming back from sightseeing in Rome at 35°. The owner was considerate and welcoming. We felt very well taken care of. Thanks!
I would recommend Cross-Pollinate to anyone! Thank you, Cross-Pollinate-Team!

Convenient location close to main train station / metro. Very clean and owner very helpful providing city map and advice. Very good price for Rome. Plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby.
Nothing - communal fridge wasnt working too well one day, but seemed to improve! Breakfast provided at local cafe was small but the norm for Italy so couldnt fault it. Plumbing in next door room could be noisy at times but didnt disturb us really and not something that could be helped.
Excellent - liked having the security of booking knowing it was verified by Cross Pollinate - I would have been more wary booking direct.

Everything
How the address appears on our reservation. The address is ok, but the name Cross Polinate appears and so we were looking for it. The problem is, at the door outside do not have any kind of information regarding the hotel.
Admin on 21. Jun 2013:
I'm sorry if this was confusing. The owner reported that you arrived 2.5 hours before the expected time so perhaps that added to the confusion.

We really enjoyed this place! To have a private bathroom at this low rate is quite a value in Rome. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The mini-fridge and iron were outside in the hall for everyone's use. There really are no big negatives.
You do get what you pay for, of course. So here's a few things others might want to know- We had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to our room area. The owner/man we talked to didn't speak English, which wasn't a problem for us. Neither TV nor remote worked properly, but then again, who needs that? It was a bit noisy, both outside and inside on the creaky old wood floors, but not unbearable. And we would have liked some internet access, WiFi.
We loved our Cross-Pollinate experience! Steve and the bee-hive staff really made sure we were taken care of even when our original reservation was changed. We were new to the experience, but will be recommending this to others.
Amy on Jun 2013:

Nice decoration, breakfast was good at the nearby Bar Trani, air conditioning worked well, very clean.
Bed was uncomfortable.
No problems, helpful program!

It was a nice and fun room. I like al the movieposters :) The bathroom was clean and the price of the room was great. I especially liked the breakfast, which was in a cute little coffeeplace around the corner.
It would have been nice to have a bit more space (than again, this was a great deal for the price we paid). The name on our information wasn't the same as the name at the buzzer. This was a bit confusing.
I really liked the idea that someone from cross-pollinate contacted the owner of the b&b for us. Thank you!

location and atmosphere
Don-Ho on Oct 2012:

There's breakfast vouchers to be used at a cafe around the corner, which to me is better than the cheap continental breakfast in a plastic bag some other B&B prepares.
There is a lot of B&B in the same building, including one ran by a Chinese family with Chinese cooking.
Eynar on Jun 2012:

se puede llegar al coliseo a menos 10minutos caminando, y queda a 10 minutos igual de termini!! la habitacion limpia ordenada, super recomendable!
Excelente lo recomiendo 100% responsables y amables!

This was a great, clean and quiet place to stay. We loved having a private bathroom after staying at some hostels on our trip. The decor was nice and the owner personable. We were going to arrive 2 hours later than expected due to train delays but the owner was great about accommodating this and meeting us at the B&B.
This property was somewhat difficult to find as we were not sure of its location within the building it is in.
Cross-Pollinate was a lifesaver when we were plannin our trip to Europe. Our Cross-Pollinate accommodations were our favorite along the way! :)
Mika on Jun 2011:

Great value for the money. Really helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. (Movie posters in the walls are great idea) Location is great also, metro station and train station near-by, so you can easily go everywhere in Rome!
Nothing but positive!
