Abbraccia Morfeo Bed & Breakfast
A loose translation of "Abbraccia Morfeo" would be, "Thou shalt be lulled into sleep by Morpheus".
More literally, we could say "Embrace Morpheus".

This B&B is more than just a dreamy hug, it's a happy global hug warmly welcoming you to Rome.

Located in a neighborhood that you wouldn't necessarily choose for your stay (in that it's quite off the beaten track, in a residential, ex-blue-collar and very multicultural neighborhood), but only about 15-20 minutes from the main train station Termini by (direct) bus or city-train. The loss of central-ness will be immensely compensated by the warmth of your hosts and the vibe of the B&B.

Decorated and furnished with much care, love for detail, and fun, Abraccia Morfeo offers you clean, creatively decorated rooms in a quiet Italian villa. The owner, Mario, lives on the ground floor with with his two dogs and partner. His garden, which isn't for guests' use, offers a nice view. The upstairs floor is reserved for guests. Mario prepares breakfast every morning to be consumed when you feel ready. Friends are even making fun of him for how much care he puts into everything. He might forget his own breakfast, but never yours!

Mario is happy to point out all the little things that only locals know, and show you the best restaurants (the type you won't find in more touristy areas!). The 'up and coming' and trendy neighborhood Pigneto can be reached by foot and although you should estimate about 30-40 minutes to get to the city center (Forum, Vatican) everything can easily be accessed by public transportation.

Every think I expected was available and working. Mario was very helpful and generous.
Everything was just right.
In your email you advised that after coming off the train/bus I should walk to number 535 and then turn to the left. You did not say that I should cross the road. The Via capua was actually opposite 465 on the opposite side of the road. After I came off the bus I walked for a long distance before realizing that I was on the wrong side of the road.

The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was really good and fresh as Mario cooked every morning something new. Mario was a really nice and helpful guest. The b&b is very well located, near Termini station (15mins by tram) which was really convenient. I advise everyone that visits Rome to stop at this place.

Mario was great in helping us with everything. He helped us carry one of our luggage to the first floor room. He laid down the breakfast table every morning and I appreciate his hospitality. He explained about the places and tours and transportation options. The location was great too. This bnb being tucked away outside the touristy places helped as we wanted to escape the crowds at the end of the day. It was close to the Termini station in the sense that it was just a 15 min tram ride.
All was perfect. I would have preferred a bigger shower but it worked out anyway.
Cross pollinate was very helpful. I booked all my Italy accommodation through this and I think they have done a great job.

We loved our stay here! we wanted something a little out of town but still accessible by public transport - all of which Mario talked us through even before we arrived. The food was fantastic and the bed and shower were warm and comfortable, but better than that we felt welcome and relaxed. exactly what we wanted. I wouldn't change a thing.
The cross-pollinate site is easy to use and responses are clear and speedy. Will use again and recommend to friends!

It was right off the tram and was very easy to get to the city center. Mario the owner was so helpful and kind. We had a view of his garden with a balcony and were able to sit out there and drink wine. We even had a nice view of some fireworks one night. The place is very clean and If I come back to Rome I would stay here in a heart beat.
The beds were a little worn but still comfortable.
It was easy to use.
Manfred on Apr 2013:

We loved it. Great place, nice and comfortable room, good breakfast.
it's not that close to the centre - but easy enough to reach with tram.
worked well - happy there is a local alternative to trip advisor and airbnb.
