Appartamento Ruggero Bonghi
Just a twenty-minute walk from Rome’s main train station, Termini, and an eight-minute walk from the closest two metro station, Ruggero Bonghi is an intimate first-floor apartment run by Tiziana.

Comprising of one main bedroom, with a huge double-bed lit up from the tall window adjacent to the headrest and looking out onto the green courtyard below, the apartment is perfect for a couple’s getaway in Rome. Furnished in rustic, natural colours that reflects the scenery of the neighbourhood, the living room is just as cosy with two soft armchairs, a comfortable double sofa, and a small wooden dining table. The tall windows open wide throughout the apartment, including the in the slim but well-equipped kitchen and the modern bathroom, both of which are accessed from the main apartment hallway, and separate from the lounge and bedroom.

Just down the street is Colle Oppio park, which offers a fantastic view of the Colosseum from above, and lots of green to relax in when you want a respite from the city streets. The Colosseum itself is less than a ten-minute walk away, and other sights such as the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon are less than twenty minutes away by public transport. Guests preferring to travel by metro will find easy access from the two closest metro stations, Manzoni and Vittoria Emanuele, to the Spanish Steps and the Vatican.

Lorna Cummings on May 2019:

We had great email communication with Loredana prior to our arrival, and no language issues even though we only speak English. This is a wonderful apartment with thick walls, high ceilings, and huge windows with sweet views. Cozy, but enough room for our family of four as the (comfortable) sofa bed folds away back into a sofa easily. The bathroom has a nice roomy shower and plenty of hot water. The neighborhood is pleasant and family friendly, with a school across the street and just beyond it, a good grocery store. We usually ate in, and it was easy to throw together a simple, delicious meal in the tiny but highly functional kitchen. The location is ideal -just a short walk down the street and through a little park, and there is the Colosseum- larger than life. Highly recommend.
Great- prompt communication. I will use them again the next time I go to Italy.
on Dec 2018:

Location is great, quiet and pleasant 5 minute walk to coliseum
The images were not representative of the apartment. It was not very clean, with old electronics and empty liquor bottles lining the shelves. The host had very minimal English and struggled to explain basic information.
Cross-pollinate was great, the $10eu flexibility fee was a lifesaver when our trip plans changed.
Katy on Jun 2017:
Cross-Pollinate is a great service that I would recommend to friends traveling to Europe.
Jeanne Dumestre on Jun 2017:

The location was fantastic. Loved our nightly strolls around the colosseum.
Everything was exactly as expected.
Tiziana was a lovely host.
Steve Stine on May 2017:

Location was outstanding, only steps away from the Coliseum
It was smaller than we had expected and it could do with a few minor furniture upgrades, but for the most part, very nice little apartment
Some confusion on payment. I'm accustomed to paying in advance and was surprised to learn that I'd only made a deposit. I'd advise Cross Pollinate to insist on full payment at least 24 hours before the stay
Paivi and Ilkka on Apr 2016:
This was our second time in this cosy appartment in Ruggero Bonghi and not the last time. The apartment, the furniture and linen are nice and tidy. The location is just perfect. The street is very peaceful but many wonderful places like Colosseum, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Lateran are very near. You can reach them easily by foot. By tram, buses and metro just behind the corner you reach the whole city. And next to Ruggero Bonghi there is Via Merulana where one can find very good, small food stores like pastry, cheese, delicatessen, fruits and vegetables. There are also nice restaurants in neighbourhood. This in not an ordinary tourist area so one can feel here a real Italian life. The owner and the host had been most kind and helpful. As you can see we have really enjoyed our stay in Ruggero Bonghi and this is our holiday home in Rome also in future!

The apartment was great! wifi, an italian mobile to use, close to everything!
This site made everything seamless and easy, I would recommend it to everyone.
Susan Baker on Mar 2014:

Location, neighborhood, metro access, termini. Everything in apartment was functional--quite comfortable. Very quiet, much appreciated. Steps to the colosseum!
English Channel or two would be nice. The bed is basic. A better mattress and stable frame should be considered.
Excellent service. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
Kate Folkard on Oct 2013:

Great location - close to Colosseum, bus routes, metro and good sized supermarket. Liked layout and decor of apartment and had a comfortable, homely feel whilst being clean and tidy. Lots of information provided on local restaurants, sights, recommendations - and very helpful information before, and on arrival from owners - it felt like they cared about us having a good stay in Rome.. Plenty of towels and nice touch of having cakes ad juice on arrival for the children.
Light switch casements fell off in kitchen (lights still worked, just annoying!). And one of the electrical sockets seemed not to work. Weren't sure whether we could use the food in kitchen cupboard or not. But these are minor comments designed to be helpful...we really liked the apartment!
Very prompt and helpful - thank you. It felt liked you cared about our holiday!
Dawn on May 2013:

Easy to use.
Padraic on Mar 2013:

Lovely apartment. Fantastic location — Colosseum at the end of the street, shops, bakery, etc. nearby. 15 min walk from Termini. Tiziana very friendly and helpful on arrival.
Nothing comes to mind.
All good.
Crystal on May 2011:
