Whether it is Humberto himself, or his son, who opens the door for you in the apartment overlooking Piazza Barberini, you can be sure you’ll be welcomed with a beaming smile.
The apartment itself is just as welcoming, offering a pastel-featured, first floor respite from the busy Piazza below. Soft teals and burnt orange colours furnish the space in the living room, illuminated by the streams of light that pass through the white, voile curtains.
The same curtained floor-to-ceiling window that opens out from the living room brings light to the loft. Situated above the living room, with space enough for a large double bed framed by soft lamps, the loft is one of three beds available in the Bernini Apartment. A separate room, accessed via the entrance and kitchen, acts as the main bedroom. With white walls, voile curtains with the same view of the Piazza below, and lilac and blue highlights, the main bedroom has a double queen bed which can also be separated to provide twin singles. Finally, for groups of up to six people, the sofa in the living room also extends to a queen-sized sofa bed.
Ideally located for sightseers, the apartment is just a stroll away from the Via Veneto with its "dolce vita" lifestyle made famous in Fellini's masterpiece film, as well as just a short walk away from the Trevi Fountain. And the apartment just a few short steps away from the closest metro stop, ‘Barberini’, with a direct connection to the Spanish Steps, the Vatican City, and Rome’s main train station: ‘Termini’.
