Appartamento Rovere Blu is located on the first floor of a small 16th-century building in Piazza della Rovere, a top location between St. Peter's, Trastevere and the beautiful street Via Giulia. It's really just a few steps from the Vatican, and conveniently within walking distance from many of the famous tourist sights of Rome. It's also well-connected by public transport. Just outside the 'traffic limited zone', it can be reached by car.
The first thing you'll notice upon entering the apartment is the nice view on the Lungotevere, lined with trees, and the Tiber river behind them. Depending on the season and the 'leafiness' of those trees you might get a full view of Castel St. Angelo.
The apartment consists of a large and bright living room (with those two gorgeous windows!), with sofabed and a kitchenette (electric stove, fridge, and dishes for cooking, as well as a nice seating/eating area), a quiet bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a bathroom with shower (no tub). The apartment has been recently restructured, with exposed wood ceiling beams and terracotta floors, allowing it to maintain its traditional Roman aspect typical of the residences in historic center, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner is also a passionate environmentalist and has recycled many of her family's vintage furniture pieces, giving it a nice and personal touch.
The apartment is equipped with air-conditioning, independent heating, satellite TV, stereo, washer, hair dryer, and iron with ironing board.
Please note: a group of five is only possible if the fifth person is a child, as the fifth bed is very small and the apartment is not big enough for a group of five adults.
For larger groups: there is another very similar apartment next door, Rovere Brown (owned by the same person), which can sleep up to 6 people.
