Appartamento Colle Oppio
Appartamento Colle Oppio is a spacious 1-bedroom apartment just a short walk from the Colosseum and Roman Forum, the San Giovanni and Santa Maria Maggiore basilicas, and Termini station. This apartment is well-suited for 2-3 people, with a double bed in the bedroom and a single fold-out sofabed in the living room. There is a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for those who want to cook some of their meals in. The living room is charmingly decorated with all wood furniture, colorful carpets and pictures, comfortable sofas, and shelves lined with books for a homey feeling. The apartment is equipped with free WiFi and the possibility of depurified water enriched with biophotons using the Ojde method.

The lovely Colle Oppio park, which is just down the street and can be seen from the apartment's front window, overlooks the Colosseum. Taking a walk in the park with a gelato or sitting on the benches watching the Italian families who gather in the park every evening is the perfect way to wind down a long day of sightseeing.

Comfortable bed, kitchen and washer
Need an iron and ironing board
Charming, comfortable art-filled apartment oh-so-convenient to the coliseum and historic sites. Paola made feel very welcome and secure. Also very private. A great first experience of Italy for us.

Great location, nice host, cute apartment. If you are a tourist, this is an ideal location - 5 minute walk to Colosseum, Roman Forum; short walk to the metro rail; plus many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment is spacious enough for 2 people and well decorated with artifacts from Paula's travels. It has a decent kitchen as well if you plan to eat in.
Hot water in the shower was very inconsistent, but not a big deal. Also, be sure to ask for the floor and apartment number after you confirm your booking. It took us a while to locate the apartment after we reached the building.
Very easy, no issues at all. We used Cross-Pollinate in Rome and Florence and had a good experience in both places.

Excellent location - close to everything; great owner - extremely attentive, helpful, and accommodating; nice ambiance and decor, very relaxing atmosphere.
Iron and Ironing board was missing; this is a must if you're traveling for a week or more.
Great... very informative and easy to work with.
Dee on Aug 2014:

The location is great; so close to the Colosseum and Forum, and a choice of several metro stops plus Termini and a supermarket are all in easy walking distance. The apartment was plenty large enough for 3 adults and comfortably furnished. Paola was very welcoming and gave great advice re where to eat well and cheaply. The wi fi worked well.
The only (small) negative was finding places to hang our laundry after washing it in the excellent machine! A folding rack would have been useful.
Brilliant - prompt responses to our queries and the accomodation was just as described.

This was a great location, close to the Colosseum, the metro and small shops. Paola was very helpful, gave us a map of the area, suggestions on places to eat and let us know where the metro was. We mostly walked, but used the the metro also. Rome was a invigorating city and Appartamento Colle Opplo was a nice quiet place to go back and relax in.
Our experience was great, no suggestions for improvements.
Thanks to Cross-Pollinate I was able to find a place to stay in Rome. I found them through Rick Steves' book, after trying many other alternatives, that didn't work. It was a quick and accurate way of finding a place. The other bookings agencies weren't so accurate as to openings. Thanks so much for your help!
Gobind and Rosie on Sep 2013:

The location and size of the apartment is fantastic as is the owner Paola. Paola is lovely and very helpful. The apartment is also very sunny which is great. The apartment is a 5 min walk to the collesseum through a great park and is in a nice area. Would definitely stay there again.
The only reason why comfort isn't 5 is because the shower takes a bit of getting used to because its hard to control the hot/cold.
Martine on May 2013:

The comfort and the facilities in the house, the location. The owner was very friendly. There are all the facilities needed near the house (supermarket / subway/ bus).
It would be great to have a Internet access in the house.
Our experience was really great, everything went well with the house. We recommend it!

I loved the location of this apartment and the decor.
Got charged for being picked up from the airport which I had supposedly selected while making my booking which I wasn't aware of perhaps this needs to be changed...Email was confusing giving me directions to the apartment by public transport and also telling me I will be picked up =/ I did go to check if there was anyone waiting for me with my name on a piece of paper but there wasn't! So I made my own way by public transport and was later charged 45 euros for a journey which could be walked in 20mins...
Admin on 20. May 2013:
To clarify: on the reservation form the guest selected that he wanted a transfer service from the airport. He then provided all his flight details and then in the confirmation letter, along with the automatic instructions that we put in, there were all the details for the transfer he'd requested - as well as the very clear policy that if he was not there to use the service that he'd be charged for it anyway. As for walking from Roma Fiumicino airport to the city in 20 minutes - I think this guest was confused from the start and am sorry that it resulted in his being charged.

Everything! You can go to any places from Rome from there, including Coliseum, etc.. in 5 minutes! And the apartment is a beautiful place to live! I fell like I'm home! And that's a wonderfull home! I loved it!
