Casa di Beatrice
Beatrice, the owner, has recently moved to Sicily and her best friend, Teresa, who lives close by, takes great care of the apartment. Situated on the first "and a half" floor (without elevator), the apartment itself has a very nice energy. Sunny and 'breezy', with an entry/living room area that feels fresh and invites you to relax in the sitting area with chairs and a coffee table. The kitchen as well as bathrooms are all recently renovated. There are 3 bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom) and 2 bathrooms total. Teresa makes sure the kitchen is equipped with basic ingredients (such as oil and coffee) for light cooking and breakfast. There is also a small balcony. The area itself is a mix of trees/parks and medium sized apartment buildings, and there's a small park as well as a market around the corner.

A stop of the somewhat famous 'number 8 tram', which will take you directly to the historic city center and runs through Trastevere, is only a two-minute walk away. Another plus is the proximity of "Villa Pamphili", a vast and surprisingly varied park (perfect for joggers!)

This apartment is great for families, and for people looking for an experience off the beaten track. I would recommend it mostly to those with time to explore the city and feel at home here, but given how well it's connected and how little time it takes you to get to many sights, it works well also for those (less fortunate) who only have a few days to enjoy the Eternal City.

Teresa will leave the kitchen stocked with basic cooking items and also supply you with a discount card for a neighborhood bar (10% off).

Louise on Jul 2015:

This apartment was spacious with plenty of room for 7 of us. The facilities within the apartment were good. The air conditioning a blessing especially in view of the heat. We were provided with all the local information about shops, transports, cafes that we needed.
I gave three stars for location - where the apartment is is delightful and close to all amenities, however, you have to be prepared to travel approx 30 mins to get into Rome. If you are happy to do that then it is perfect. I personally found that I did not want to travel back into Rome for an evening which I would have like to have done just to see it lit up.
Cross-Pollinate couldn't do enough to make sure that we found accommodation suitable to our needs. Thanks.
Katherine Morra on Sep 2014:

Loved the apartment. Very nice, large and clean. Very helpful hosts. Great amenities close by. Nice area.
Maybe provide more information on bus system into downtown Rome and maps of area amenities (example..market).
Great experience.
Traci Davis on Jun 2014:

The beautiful surroundings of the area. Although it was outside of the center of Rome, transportation was easy to find. We had five people in our party so there was plenty of space in the apartment. The kitchen had plenty of space for cooking our own meals. Very clean. Accommodating hosts. Would definitely stay here again!!
More towels.
Cross-Pollinate was great! Very accommodating. Helped us with transportation to airport at the end of our stay.
Paula on Jun 2014:

Space, separate well equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, large dinning table, flexibility on access time. It was nice to escape from the centre of room and to have a good selection of local shops.
Reliability of hot water supply, although this was addressed by getting someone out to check the boilert on the next working day.
Straightforward, excellent choice of accommodation, good information and easy way to pay deposit

Lovely airy clean flat - great for family. Owner let us come back and wash before night train on last day - v helpful. Good area - although you need to get tram or bus in and out of centre (3 euros a day per person - so factor this in)
Washing machine would be good. Kettle and toaster seemed not to work, more big mugs for tea and coffee, lighting in block broken.
Alison on Jun 2013:

Manager very helpful. Place comfy and clean. Recommended it to friends.
Terrific! I've already recommended it.
Julie on Sep 2013:

For a family of six, having a large 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms was a real bonus. Casa di Beatrice, was located in a true Rome suburb, convenient to bars, supermarket, excellent gelataria, restaurants and the tram. About a 25 minute tram ride into Piazza Venezia, less for Trastevere. We loved the hustle and bustle of the centre of Rome but looked forward to returning to the apartment with its balcony to sip on a cold Prosecco after a day out and about, The apartment is located in an area where there aren't any tourists gave us a snapshot of how Romans get on with their lives. Great experience.
Would be great if there was a washing machine.
This is the second time we have used Cross-Polinate lasttime was 10 years ago. Thanks again.
Rochelle on Jun 2013:

Perfect place for our group of 7 (hard to find) at an amazing price. Location near tram #8. Being in a quiet neighborhood and the local tabachi's, gelaterias, restaurants, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Casa di Beatrice to others.
Beware that not all "business" by dogs in the neighborhood gets picked up, we arrived after dark and stepped in unseen piles. Also, the wireless internet was not working during our visit (old moon bar, nearby, has free internet for their customers...). Still not certain which "button" to press to ring upto the apartment if returning without a key.
Easy to book, offers great options for places to stay. I will keep this on my list of places to use for travel in the future and have already recommended it to others.
Matthew on May 2013:

Really close to tram line 8 which gets you into the centre quickly
The photos on the website don't do the flat justice
It all went very smoothly, I am already planning my next trip
Veena on Mar 2013:

Casa Beatrice was quiet, clean and comfortable. It was also super accessible to central Rome on the tram and in the direction out of Rome to a fabulous market where we could buy fresh fruit, vegetables and pasta for our stay. I really appreciated that there was wifi and Teresa was very helpful for anything we needed.
It would be great to add on 15 euros to the fee and have 10 tram tickets in the flat, ready to go!
I am very happy with Cross Pollinate and had all my questions answered immediately and most helpfully. I will use the service again!
Norma on May 2012:
