Cross Pollinate was just the best. I had tried a couple of places before coming upon them. As soon as I sent the first email I stopped looking for any more websites. I just wish they expanded to every city in Europe. Their knowledge, helpfulness, etc. was second to none. - Caroline Collis
Chelsea Pad
This B&B is located in one of the most beautiful area in London, just off Sloane Square on a quiet street, under 10 minutes walk to the famous King’s Road where all kinds of shops, restaurants, exhibition and supermarkets can be found.

The house has various floors so be ready to get fit with many steps. The room available to rent is actually a small apartment and is located right at the top of the house. The room is extremely bright, spacious and clean. On the right side a small kitchenette is also available for tea and coffee making, with a small fridge, if needed. The bathroom, just in front of the kitchen, is quite large with mirrors all around.

Free WIFI connection, TV, books and magazines are available to guests. Breakfast (continental) is usually served downstairs on the first floor but can be taken upstairs in the room or in the garden. The owner also likes to make her own organic bread, muffins and pastries from time to time.

Sloane Square is located in Zone 1 (District and Circle Line) and within 10 minutes tube you can reach all the main attractions that London has to offer. The tube station is located within 5 minutes walk. The area is also served by many busses that take anywhere in London. This area of London, Chelsea, is one of the most exclusive and typically expensive locations in London, so the price is really great value.

Ron and Paula on Jul 2018:

Location is in a nice part of town and a short walk to the tube and buses so that was awesome. Leigh was a wonderful hostess and made us a nice breakfast every day to get us off to a good start. Everything was as advertised and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
The only negatives were lugging bags up to third floor (which we would call 4th floor) and it happened to be a heat wave while we were there so it was really hot. But that was not Leigh’s fault and she did everything she could to make us comfortable including getting a fan for us.
Have used many times now and we are always thrilled with their help and service.

We loved our stay at Moore Street B&B. It was easy to take the train from the airport. The room was beautiful, large and clean. We loved sleeping under the open windows. It looked as good as the pictures. The neighborhood was very quite and nice, but close to the food, shopping and the 2 tube stations. Leigh was a wonderful hostess and severed a very nice breakfast each morning. We would love to stay here again.
We did not have any issues with our stay...
We enjoy using Cross-Pollinate. It was easy to book this room in London. We used Cross-Pollinate on our trip to Italy 3 years ago and love the places we found in Rome and Florence. Hope to use them again soon....

one of my favorite areas of London but the real joy was how kind and help Leigh was. She made my stay comfortable and welcoming. The room has a mini kitchen is very large and has great work space and internet access. I work on all my trip so this was wonderful. a special extra was hearing rain on the roof on the top floor. I would enjoy staying here every trip to London, but shall bring a smaller suitcase next time! I really enjoyed chatting with Leigh and am sure I took advantage of her kindness to spend time talking when she had many other responsibilities
Can not think of anything. I had to get accustomed to the 40+ steps but planned my day that I ONLY went up once a day when I returned to the house.
it was easy booking the room and Steve followed up with a confirmed reservation within a day or two.

Spacious, comfortable room with private bathroom, wonderful location within walking distance to the metro, museums and restaurants.
Excellent resource. Already recommended to a friend.

I am a return customer. I adore Leigh and her wonderful room, so big and light.
It's perfect as it is
Always hassle-free and clear.
Nathalie Boisard-Beudin on May 2016:

The apartment is at a great location, very quiet and offers all the comfort and amenities I need when travelling. Leigh is very sweet and helpful and it is always a pleasure to come back.
Reservation is always a flawless process. Questions are always quickly answered.

We would definitely recommend the Moore St. B&B to others. We called it our “Goldilocks” B&B. Everything was just right! The location and B&B couldn’t be more convenient or comfortable. It is in a quiet and classy neighborhood which made us feel we weren’t tourists. Leigh provided a “more-than–we-could-eat” continental breakfast. The private upper floor was a quiet refuge after a busy day of touring.
Easy to use booking process and good options. Perhaps a receipt for payment should be offered by the host due to cash payment upon arrival.
Nathalie on May 2015:

What can I say? I am a fan.
Always an easy process. Cross-Pollinate needs to expand to further cities. Brussels? (hint)
Nathalie on Feb 2015:
Leigh is a wonderful and warm host and I cannot wait to be back. The apartment was pleasantly big and well furnished. A friendly cat even showed up for cuddles!
Kate on Nov 2014:

The hospitality, comfort, location and food. I like the owner, Leigh, very much; she is a kind and attentive host. This top-floor room is spacious, quiet and full of light. The furniture is just right - the mattress and linens are of excellent quality and having a cozy couch and chairs and a place to work at a nice big desk was really a plus. In addition, the little nook to prepare a hot tea or coffee and some snacks was so convenient. The bathroom is also spacious, well lit and outfitted with all that you might need. Breakfast was spot on for me. Leigh has a keen interest in healthy eating, as I do, so it was wonderful to try some of her homemade bread (and very good coffee). I was in good form to enjoy my days on the town after Leigh's sensible breakfasts. For a first visit to London, I found the location of this B&B to be very convenient - in a quiet, safe and attractive neighborhood, yet just a short walk from the major bus and tube routes.
Nothing. I would certainly return and hope that my review encourages others to consider a stay at Moore Street B&B.
Using Cross-Pollinate was easy and enjoyable. Accommodations are accurately described on the website and Cross Pollinate provides very thorough instructions and simple to use booking and payment procedures. I will not hesitate to use Cross-Pollinate again. Thank you and bravi!
Kelly Bare on Sep 2014:

Everything! Leigh is a delightful, lovely lady and a superb host. She keeps a comfortable clean home and our room was perfect. Continental breakfasts were delightful and conversation stimulating. The location is close to anything one would care to do in London and in a very beautiful, prestigious neighborhood.
One could not ask for more.
Easy to use and good experience.
Ken Ortiz on Aug 2014:

The B&B is located in a nice section of London. I loved the fact the B&B only had one room, so we were the only guests at the facility. The owner was very nice and accommodating.
Nothing. However, be aware that your room is three stories up, with no elevator.
We would use Cross-Pollinate again.
Derek & Vicki Plummer on May 2014:

A lovely location that is convenient to 2 underground stations & buses. A very lovely, helpful hostess - thanks Leigh for making our stay so wonderful. The breakfasts are great (continental style), the "room" (more like a small apartment) was spacious, comfortable & met our needs superbly. After walking around London all day, it was nice to come "home" to the cosy "room", have a take-away bite to eat and crash in the comfortable bed. It is nice to stay in a residential neighbourhood away from tourism yet be able to reach the sights so readily.
Nothing! Just a note: there are 50 stairs to the top floor & there are no cooking/heating facilities for food in the "room".
We will use Cross-Pollinate again when the occasion arises. Steve was very helpful throughout our protracted booking process & the property descriptions & pictures are accurate. We will recommend Cross-Pollinate to others looking for a unique and affordable accommodations experience in any of the cities they serve.
georgefrode on Jun 2014:

Very nice neighborhood, lovely home, well-kept. Good location to public transport. Fridge in room nice for light meals. Room expansive enough to linger in and very comfortable.
Keep in mind, this is the innkeeper's home (the way B&B's used to be) and not a commercial B&B, so you will need to accommodate to this -- meaning: you are a house guest, not so much a customer. It was not clear to us beforehand that breakfast was continental (scones/bead/fruit/coffee/juice), which was quite good but not full English breakfast, which I had requested. Nonetheless, innkeeper did cook eggs for us one morning and did her best to accommodate. This should be clarified in listing.
Cross-Pollinate put us in touch with this booking that would we not otherwise have found in London, which is very pricey otherwise. It was a good option for us.
Richard Waltereit + Nicoletta Rivetto on Jan 2014:

Stylish homestay, great location, quiet place, high quality breakfast. You can feel in London "at home"!
Maybe reformulate following phrase in the description: "On the right side a small kitchenette is also available if guests would like to eat upstairs." Guests could expect, one can cook upstairs - as Nicoletta actually did ;-) Anyway, we were not disappointed - everything was so beautiful and perfect and we did not miss the cooking at all.
Thanks, we`ll try your other accomodations il we have any opportunity
Carol Dion on Sep 2013:

The location is quiet, yet close to tube station and lots of shops.
We had a great stay. Thank you, Leigh.
Quick to respond and help, much appreciated.
