Downtown Chiado 1
Located in the historic Chiado area, this apartment is all restored and newly furnished with 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, air-condition and loads of comforts.

From here you can walk pretty much everywhere in the center or jump on one of the historic trams for the Alfama.

For larger groups, there is a second apartment in the building as well, the Downtown Chiado 2.

About the area:

Near the Bairro Alto, one of the most typical in the Lisbon area, with several restaurants, bars and shops. Place to hear fado and enjoy the evening. No car needed. Very close to different types of public transport - metro, buses, trains and electric that can take you anywhere Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais.

Area traditionally known for its intellectual connections, there are several statues of literary figures. Fernando Pessoa, a famous Portuguese poet of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, is sitting at a table outside the Café A Brasileira. And we also find the Antonio Ribeiro statue, The Chiado, in the same square. In Luís de Camões Square stands the statue of Luís de Camões, in wide.

As a cultural zone that is here we find several theaters such as the Teatro S. Luiz (which has had several names, such as Teatro D. Amélia and is now owned by the Lisbon City Council), the Teatro da Trindade, and the São Theater Carlos, the only opera house in Portugal.

In the Largo do Chiado rise from two baroque churches: the Italian Church of Loreto, on the north side, and the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation (Lisbon), in front, with the exterior walls decorated with tiles. Also encompassed in the Chiado district, lies the Largo do Carmo, with its trees "jacaranda". In this square, stand the ruins of the Carmo Convent, built in the century. XIV, which is currently installed Carmo Archaeological Museum. In front of the convent, is the Carmo Fountain (century. XVIII).
