Kolemen House
Situated in a 110-year-old Armenian building, Kolemen Home is part of 5 flats owned by Selim that are all rented as vacation rentals. He offers a comfortable flat with contemporary decoration. Istiklal Street is only 300 metres away with many restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, and shops of the famous brands. The flat features brick walls and wooden floors. The windows are wooden, new but close to the antique original style. There is a comfortable seating area with flatscreen satellite TV and a private balcony that looks out over an ancient street of Beyoglu.

The best thing about this flat is that it is in the middle of downtown yet still quite and away from the noise as it is on a small dead end street.  The downside is bedroom is quite small, not much space and beds are a bit too firm, not everyone's taste.

It is  200 metres from the historical Galata Tower and 700 metres from Pera Museum. Taksim Square and Taksim Metro Stop are both 1.5 km away. Sishane Metro stop and Tunnel Stop are 300 metres, Tophane tram is 500 meters away. Ataturk Airport is within 20 km. It's possible to find food in the neighborhood 24 / 7 either in a restaurant or on the street. The Bosphorus could be reached by a 10 minute down hill walk. Hagia Sophia could be reached in 15 minutes by tram easily.

Next street to the flat is a mix of posh and local. Children running on the street where the most famous designer boutiques and candle restaurants are located. Two streets up is Istiklal Street with many exquisite boutiques, music and bookstores, libraries, art galleries, cinemas, theaters, cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs, coffee houses, patisseries, chocolateries, and technological centers are lined on Istiklal Street, the pedestrian avenue. There is so much going on in the approximately 2,5 kilometers long street between the Tunel funicular stop near Galata Tower and Taksim Square that you can spend a whole day here.

Galata neightborhood, historically non muslim, is now a mix of foreigners, designers, artists and still locals.

This apartment is ideal for people are staying short term and want to be in the center. Previously, families stayed in the flat as well as singles.
