B & B Cimabue 9 is a small, family-run B&B, located just outside the historic center of Florence but still walkable from all the tourist sights and museums. With a pleasant 10-15 minute walk along the Arno river, you can arrive at Piazza Santa Croce, or if you take the smaller internal streets heading towards the center -- typical for their artisan workshops and markets of every sort -- you can reach the Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery) and Ponte Vecchio. Since Florence is a small city (which is well-designed for walking and bicycling) it is easy to get around everywhere by foot, or if you prefer to take public transport, there are also bus stops near the B&B which will get you to other parts of the city easily. The B&B is located on the first floor of a 19th century building in a recently renovated apartment with terrace. The terrace is accessible to all guests, though only one of the guestrooms opens directly onto it. The four guestrooms have private ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, TV, hair dryer, and free wireless Internet connection. The rooms are spacious, well-aired, and sunny, with hardwood flooring and decorated in a traditional style. The living room of the guesthouse acts as reception area, where you'll find the owner, Enrico, at the front desk to greet you and answer any questions you may have.
Breakfast is an additional 5 euro per person and optional. It includes coffee, cappuccino, tea, yogurt, fruit juice, bread with jam and nutella, cereal and fruit. In the common area there's a kettle for making tea, a microwave and toaster, as well.
