![]() | Charming old building in an excellent location a couple of blocks from the Duomo. Nicely appointed rooms with private bath and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Very quiet and secure. Great place to get out of the bustle of crowded tourist sites, but very close to everything - walking distance to all sites. |
![]() | Overall, we liked this place alot, but a couple of things about it were not clearly communicated ahead. One is that there is a very steep, winding stairway from the street to the entrance to the guesthouse. The listing says "2nd floor", but it is not what Americans would call the second floor - I think most Americans would consider it the 3rd or 4th floor. The Dei Mori website says "47 charming steps". Not a problem except that getting our luggage up and down was more challenging than expected. The other discrepancy is that there was no breakfast offered. We asked, and were told they don't do that. It is shown on both the Dei Mori and Cross Pollinate website, so not sure what happened about that. Again, we still liked the place a lot and would consider staying there again, just want to mention things that were not clear in the listing. |
