Ciao Mine, Stefano, It was really great to stay at your place the other day. We spent four days there and had a real good time. We especially liked the location, it was so convenient and we could walk to everywhere in town. The room is right above the central market but the noise in the early morning didn't bother us much. To be honest, the only thing which bothered us a little was the wifi, it was good in the living room but the connection was not good in both bed rooms. Thanks Stefano for waiting for us until late as our flight was delayed and also for the briefing around the space. I would stay here again on my next trip! Thank you!

The apartment was excellently located - 5 min. walk from Santa Lucia train station (even with masses of luggage), just across the road from the Mercato Centrale and about 10 mins. walk from the main attractions of Florence. You can see some of the facade of Santa Maria del Fiore from the windows of the apartment. It also has a lovely little sit-out/terrace area and a very welcome elevator. Communication with the hosts was excellent and we were given a thorough brief when we checked in. And cookies! Be aware that there is only one shower/toilet area so with 2 bedrooms this may require some scheduling. Excellent apartment. Highly recommended.

Apt has a great location, is clean and modern. Good for 2 couples who want a central location in Firenze. Right across the street from the Central Market so you can shop for great Italian leather products or quality food for your meals! Stefano is a great host taking time to introduce us to the apt and area. Apt is super well equipped even with umbrellas, which we needed!
A bit small by NA standards, but this isn't a show stopped, just part of being in Europe.
Site worked great, first time user and I would definitely use again for my future trips to Italy or other destinations!
Kai-Ning Jan on Dec 2015:

We absolutely loved how spacious, well-furnished, and large the apartment was, especially the kitchen, as well as the fact it had a functioning washer and dryer and the convenient location. It was the only Italian apartment we stayed at that had a dryer, so we greatly appreciated it. Furthermore, we were all extremely impressed with the thoughtfulness of our host, who provided us with everything we could possibly need including laundry detergent, Q-tips, all sorts of paper goods, and the welcoming bottle of wine and packet of cookies. Our stay was absolutely marvelous.
We had very few complaints, but here are some minor things to consider. We changed the check-in time, and the host met us a little late due to concurrent check-ins. The apartment is also directly above a market, so if you would like a quiet place, this may not be an ideal location. However, it made you feel welcomed and in the middle of Florentine life.
We loved the accurate descriptions and pictures, as well as how easy it was to book an apartment. The communication between us and Cross-Pollinate was also great, but having the choice to pay the rental fee with a credit card would have made our experience even better.

Appartamento Venere is wonderful in every way! My mother and I came to Florence for a one-week vacation, and we found the apartment comfortable and well-stocked. Stefano the owner met us right on time as agreed, then carefully went over everything and even provided restaurant recommendations and directions to nearby grocery stores. The beds were comfortable, with many extra pillows, sheets, blankets provided. The towels were large and fluffy, which is not always the case in Europe. The apartment has its own hot water heater, so there was plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer were handy, as were the microwave and kitchenette. All the plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans, etc were provided, and as a lovely touch, Stefano also provided dish soap, hand/bath soap, shampoo, Kleenex, toilet paper, and paper towels (which many such rental apartment owners do not provide, so this was really easy and really appreciated!). The location is right in the heart of things, near the Mercato Central, steps to the train station, steps to taxis, restaurants, shops, etc. 3 minute walk to the Duomo cathedral, 10 min walk to Uffizi. Keep in mind -- for those who normally live in a quiet, suburban area, this is a city. There is a market near you. There are sirens and garbage trucks and people and noise, as in ANY CITY. Stefano has double glass windows, so it is pretty quiet, but I brought along ear plugs because I'm a light sleeper, and with the double glass and my ear plugs, I didn't hear a thing! Thank you Stefano for making this vacation so lovely with a comfortable, spacious, well-equipped little haven to return to each night! Grazie!
Not really possible to improve, but as in many European bathrooms, the shower is very small. The size of a cruise ship shower. if you are a large size person with a large girth, you may have trouble in the shower. There is no bath tub. Again, not a problem for me, but for some Americans, this might be an issue.
Great experience! Would use again.

The apartment was extraordinary - clean, spacious, and lots of luxurious touches. We also really, really liked the location. Right at the central market, lots of street vendors, and within walking distance to everywhere. We really felt that the location gave us a good feel for the culture and people of Florence.
Nothing could be improved other than listing says it has an elevator. It does have an elevator but you still have 5-6 stairs to climb after the elevator so for those with mobility issues it might be difficult. A very small item: it would have been nice to have been provided with more than one roll of toilet paper.
Owner was very helpful and really wanted to ensure we had the best tips on where to eat, visit, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others - it was wonderful.

What a beautiful apartment and what a location! Right above the lively San Lorenzo Market and 2 min.to the Central Market. Super close to the San Lorenzo church, train station, Santa Maria Novella church, good restaurants, services. Walking distance to everything! The apartment is beautiful and spotless, with a very spacious master bedroom. Gorgeous windows that almost completely shut out the sounds of the street and a nice, small balcony. Stephano was gracious, professional and we really enjoyed talking to him and picking up some travel tips.
Don't change a thing! It is perfect!
Love it! So many great properties and very fast and responsive customer service. Will use next time for sure.

Everything was perfect. Definitely recommended. Stefano the owner was very helpful.
It was my first experience, they are trustful and I am considering to work with them again.
Daniel Winters on Mar 2014:

Stefano, the owner was very helpful and kind. He did very well with our lack of Italian language. The location was excellent, right next to the Mercato Centrale for food shopping and goodies. There are great Restaurants steps away. Convenient walking distance to all the great sites. Beds, bath and kitchen all very well appointed and comfortable. For 5 days in Florence, it was a fantastic value. Hope to return soon.
Internet was not working but, we had our own back-up Wi-Fi so it was not a problem.
Very good. Will definitely use again when possible.

Fearful that a review might diminish our chances for future availability, my wife made me promise not to write a review of our stay at this apartment in later September 2013. “Okay, I won’t,” I lied. Located across from the Market Central at the corner of two streets occupied by an army of street vendor carts, this third (American counting) floor apartment is a new, clean, two bedroom unit with all the amenities. The owner met us at check-in, briefing us on the five keys necessary to get in, showing us how to operate the many features of the apartment, and presenting us with an array of gifts, including several bottles of wine. The spacious unit is served by three independently-zoned air conditioners and soundproof windows, necessary because of pesky mosquitoes and insufferable noise from the street vendors below. The bathroom is equipped with two sinks, a smallish shower, the usual bidet, washer-dryer combination, and ample towels and wash cloths. The kitchen is adequate and well-equipped, although some newer fry pans would be welcome. We enjoyed late afternoon wine and cheese on the deck opening on to the central courtyard air shaft, and made good use of the clothes line just beyond the deck railing. Everything in the unit was impeccably clean and worked, including the reliable Wi-Fi. The unit is located within walking distance of all sites north of the river, and several blocks from the train station– a somewhat challenging walk with luggage since taxis are not permitted on Via Sant’ Antonino. This excellent apartment was an important ingredient in our journey to Florence.

This was the BEST apartment we stayed in Italy. We rented apartments in Rome, Venice and Cinque Terra. Very clean and comfortable - It had the essentials and then some - washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, cooking spices, hair dryer, nice size refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and oven, WI-FI, pots and pans, real towels. Stefano was very friendly and showed us the apartment. He even had a welcoming treats.
nothing - I would stay here again.
