Appartamento Mirta
The Mirta apartment is located in the San Lorenzo district, in the very heart of Florence, a short walk walk the central train station, Santa Maria Novella, and just a few minutes to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio.

Even though the San Lorenzo market is bustling and active (with great, inexpensive food and all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables), the apartment is quiet as the windows all face the internal courtyard.

Elegantly restored in 2014 and carefully furnished by the owners, it can comfortably accommodate 6 people. There's two bedrooms, one with double bed and ensuite bathroom, and one with twin beds which uses another bathroom with shower accessed in the hall. The living room has a fold out sofa. The balcony faces the garden/courtyard and has views of the Cappelle Medici's Dome.

In front of the apartment building is a garage for those arriving by car. It can be reserved for guests on requests and costs around 30 euro a night.

For foodies, a cooking class can be arranged by the owner of the apartment, Sandro, who teaches how to make some of the best traditional recipes of the typical Florentine cuisine and after the class you can of course taste what you have prepared in the flat.

Great support - easy to use with great response times during booking & excellent follow-up prior to check-in/arrival. Overall, an excellent experience & I'd definitely recommend Cross-Pollinate (in fact, I already have recommended to several friends).
Beverly Williams on Sep 2016:

This apartment was perfect for our group of four (two couples). Full kitchen, multiple bathrooms, WiFi, air-conditioning, and a walkable location.
The larger bathroom has a sky-light. An upstairs neighbor's window has a direct view into the shower. Recommend that you steam up the sky-light before getting into the shower or you'll give them a nice show. Minor issue and can easily work around it. (Please don't let that stop you from renting this apartment.)
Accurate, timely, polite, and easy. Cross-Pollinate did everything I'd expect and were happy to help with questions.

Very spacious. Great location.
Neighbors were a bit noisy a few of the nights. The wifi was pathetic. I was told this was a recent issue, but it was basically unusable. Also, we kept getting bitten by insects. Each morning we would all wake up with fresh bites. At first we thought it was bed bugs, but did not see any evidence of this. We kept the windows open so maybe mosquitos were coming through?
Was pretty smooth, but I didn't require any particular help either way.

It was huge! All the rooms were nicely furnished and appointed. The balcony in the back had a view of the duomo, heaven! 2 bathrooms and an extra toilet meant that the 3 ladies each had a mirror in the morning. The kitchen was gourmet and lovely every morning. We got a free cooking class because we stayed 5 days and the owner Sandro was so sweet and impressive! We learned so much even if we don't normally eat the items he made. The location was incredible, we never had to take a bus, we walked everywhere and it never took more than 15 mins!
We did have a miscommunication about the cooking class, two of us did not eat red meat and all the food was red meat, but in the end it was still incredible and we learned so much. We told the manager but it must have been miscommunicated, language barriers etc. Maybe have a form or something to fill in with food allergies etc., but it was a free class so I can't complain too much!
As usual, so helpful! I asked for a centrally located apartment that could house 3 folks and you provided a great recommendation!
