Cross-Pollinate was very helpful when the owner of the B&B wanted to charge us for the baby under 2 y o. It would have been difficult without them since the owners did not speak any english. - Yulia Pichugina

Jarrod on Feb 2017:
Wonderful modern apartment in the middle of Central Market. Very clean, very comfortable, very nice! Modern appliances throughout the apartment. Spacious and surprisingly quiet because of the acoustic windows. Just steps away from the central market where you can get all the best food in Florence! 10 minutes easy walk with luggage from the train station. The owner took alot of pains to explain the apartment and things to do in Florence. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Stefano the host was most helpful and charming. The apartment was stocked with anything we could possibly have needed. Great location, comfortable and stylish apartment.
Can't think of anything. It was wonderful.
We recommended it to friends who will travel this fall.

Apartment is newly renovated, stylish, centrally located. Appliances, supplies and linens all excellent. Attentive owner. Would recommend!
We would appreciate English language TV news. We scrolled through entire channel listing, there is no BBC, CNN, SKY or other English language news. If owner is being told this is included in his cable TV package, he is being deceived!
Excellent.
Admin on 14. Apr 2014:
I'm sorry you had the impression there were international channels. We have never listed that there is cable or satellite TV at this property.

Very nice, well equipped and well maintained, clean, beds comfortable. Location close walk to tourist sites, but right next to central market which is quite noisy. There are sound insulating windows, and with the windows closed noise is not bad, but we were there in late October. In warm months when the windows would be open, the noise would be a big problem. Late at night, 10 or 11 pm, street sweeping machines clean up the market area every night, and are noisy. So, everything was great except for the noise issue. The apartment is nicer than it looks in the photos.

The apartment was very central and is easy to reach from the train. It was very clean and spacious for a family of 4.

The apartment was clean, well-appointed, and centrally- located.
No improvements; but potential visitors should be aware that the apartment is located in the central market area and the street can be a little noisy.
Excellent; a great way to travel without staying in hotels.

Yes, the market, which can be busy during the day, is great to be close to in that it's probably the biggest, and least expensive markets in Florence. The windows are all double paned and sound proof, so with them closed, it shouldn't be of any concern unless someone is ultra sensitive to noise.

We really loved this apartment. The living area is very well set up, great kitchen. The Internet and air conditioning were excellent, there are guide books available. It is central but quiet. It is directly opposite the main food market making eating good Tuscan produce easy! The host was very helpful.

Carole on Jun 2013:
Really big Location, air conditioning. Stefano was really thorough in his explanation of all aspects of apt care.
Katherine on May 2013:

This apartment was beautifully appointed, modern and clean. The windows provided complete silence for the marketplace below. Owners clearly care about this property. Kitchen was well equiped. Location was excellent - close to train station and convenient walking distance from historical attractions. Being next to the Mercado Centrale was great! We enjoyed shopping and cooking fresh produce daily! Staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions, and provided delicious and generous welcome gifts.
There was some confusion about a security deposit, the language barrier kept us from really understanding. There was no mention on Cross-Polinate website about a security deposit for this accomodation that I saw. Ultimately, we did not have to provide a security deposit.
Admin on 03. Jun 2013:
Yes, you should not have to provide one as we have a special agreement. Sorry for the confusion!
Srilalitha on Apr 2013:

Saturnia was a real surprise to us -- we expected something rather duller from the pictures. It turned out to be stylish and expansive, the bright kitchen inspiring for a little local cooking, and Stefano's welcome snacks and drinks great appetisers. Thanks for a great stay!
The pictures posted, for sure - they don't do justice to the place at all. Watch out for the three-floor climb with luggage - but it's worth every step!
Absolutely fantastic resource. I would recommend it to anyone. I just wish C-P was available everywhere!:)
