Thanks a lot to Cross-Pollinate for the opportunity to experience a city as an insider! We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Venice and look forward to more. - Tatiana Marchenko
Cross-Pollinate was very helpful when the owner of the B&B wanted to charge us for the baby under 2 y o. It would have been difficult without them since the owners did not speak any english. - Yulia Pichugina

Cross Pollinate was just the best. I had tried a couple of places before coming upon them. As soon as I sent the first email I stopped looking for any more websites. I just wish they expanded to every city in Europe. Their knowledge, helpfulness, etc. was second to none. - Caroline Collis
BIENVENIDOS INNBB is a small, home-style place with 3 modest guestrooms, each with private bathroom (1 ensuite and 2 non-ensuite). The friendly Italian owner speaks fluent English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German, and has lived in Barcelona for many years (and works as a tour guide) so she's very familiar with the city and can give you great instructions on how to get around, where to eat, and what sights not to miss. She's made a conscious effort to give her B & B a casual, sociable ambience, as she wants guests to feel as comfortable as though they were in their own home. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cook. The kitchen also makes a good common area, and many guests end up chatting and getting to know each other over breakfast or while cooking other meals. The three guestrooms all have parquet floors, balcony access, and ceiling fans to keep them cool in the summer, and each is decorated in a different color theme (pink, green, and blue). They have all been sound-proofed so they stay quiet. The rooms can be rented either as singles or doubles with a choice of queen bed or 2 single beds. (Please note that the double room with 2 single beds is quite small! If this may be a problem for you, we would advise booking the room with queen bed instead.) The B & B is situated on the 3rd floor of a typical 1923 building of the Gaudí period, which was later restructured to have a modern elevator. The B & B was photographed in 2011 by Vogue New York for a book on Spanish B & Bs. Located a short walk from Gaudí's Sagrada Familia, the area is perfect for guests who wish to be centrally and conveniently located, yet outside the most touristy areas in a more quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood. The B & B is near a few different metro stops on different lines (the closest are the Sagrada Familia, Hospital de Sant Pau, and Encants stops) so it's very easy to get around the rest of the city. The neighborhood has plenty of good, affordable local restaurants, shops, and supermarkets.

??????....can't think of a thing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Raffaela. It was everything she said it would be -- lovely, wonderful, romantic, and charming. Would definitely recommend! She even showed me how to use the expresso machine…helpful knowledge for early mornings. And Steve at Cross-Pollinate was great helping me with the details of the reservation. His responses to my questions were speedy, gracious and accurate. Fully appreciated the entire Cross-Pollinate experience from beginning to end! Thank you Raffaela and Steve. Best, Melanie and Phil

Location, kitchen privileges, helpful hostess, good shower.
Room was small, but that's the usual in Europe.
Easy to use. Was so happy to let Cross Pollinate sort options and send us suggestions in our price range.
Hanne Agreiter on Jun 2016:

The appartement was very cosy and clean and in a nice, local area, not too touristic. The owner Raffaela was very helpful with everything.
i do not know about anything
it is the second time and i am very content.
Ann on Apr 2016:

It was nice to have our own bathroom. I loved the rustic feel of the space, giving us a sense of what it would feel like living in a bustling, old European city. The instructions that were provided on transportation (including Taxi info) were very helpful.
I did not see any breakfast food in the refrigerator.
I will continue to use Cross-Pollinate for any future travels to Europe. It provided me with the type of unique lodging that gave me the authentic experience I was seeking.
Amy on Nov 2015:

The flat was wonderful. The pictures are very accurate and we had our own little terrace. We also loved having access to a kitchen that was stocked with breakfast food including eggs, milk, cheese, bread and yogurt. The owner was very thorough with her instructions which made arriving and departing very simple.
It was very easy to use and well organized. I appreciated the reminder emails to make sure I had made contact with the owner of the property.
Jill Langford on Jun 2014:

The explicit arrival instructions, the friendly interesting area, all the provisions provided and the position which meant we could walk to so many of the sites we wanted to see.We loved our stay.

Suzanne and John DeSaix on Apr 2014:

It was comfortable, quiet at night for sleeping because it was not in the middle of high traffic and late night activities, and in a lovely neighborhood convenient to the metro, groceries and supplies. Raffaela was extremely helpful, providing immediate information and welcome via email and directions to the apartment. The housekeeper provided excellent introduction to the kitchen supplies, food and neighborhood information. We are physically-active 60+ year olds and were able to take the stairs without problem and we like the exercise. Someone in a wheelchair or who has difficulty walking could not easily access the apartment.
Consistency of hot water for shower. However, this would not stop us from considering this apartment again! It was warm, inviting, and easy to live in during our stay.
Website very easy to navigate. I will use it again.
Karina on Dec 2013:

I liked the place location, the cleaning. And the most important thing was that we could cook there.
I think that the rooms must be cleaned the days you are there.
I am very content to contact you again!
Admin on 16. Dec 2013:
Thanks for your comments. Daily cleaning is not provided in B&B accommodations - generally, it's every three days. It sounds as though you were satisfied with the level of cleanliness but hoped it would be cleaned daily in addition, which is not the case.
