Ca' Gigia

Ca' Gigia is located in the neighborhood of San Polo, well-known for its restaurants and the fact that it's super central but not too touristy. It's located about 100-150 meters from the Basilica dei Frari, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in Venice, and the Rialto Bridge is within walking distance. The most important (and well, only 'real') fish and vegetable market, Rialto Mercato, nearby makes it convenient to save a little money by cooking meals in the apartment during your stay. There are also two supermarkets close by, and the vaporettos depart in all directions from a nearby canal stop.

Ca' Gigia is a quiet apartment accessed from a nice inner courtyard. You enter into the living room with kitchenette and bathroom, and there's one other room, the bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized sofabed in the same room but the two sleeping areas are separated by a large closet. (It is, however, one smallish room so there's not a lot of privacy-- I'd say it's good for a family with kids or a group of very close friends or close family).
It's located on the first floor (no elevator) of a picturesque typical Venetian building. The apartment is equipped with air-conditioning, TV, dishwasher, hair dryer, washer, radio, phone (with free calls in Italy to landline phones), and WiFi at an additional cost of 2 euros per hour.
