Alice is a pleasant one-bedroom apartment, situated between Saint Mark's square and the beautiful church of Santa Maria Formosa. (A great plus: the square is in full sunlight basically all day from morning to evening. I could never pass by here often enough on my walks through the center.) The area is packed with shops, restaurants, ice-cream shops, cafes. It's the typical Venice you'd expect, with narrow streets and busy life and bridges all around. The street of the apartment is not a 'through' street (so no tourist hordes underneath your windows!) There's Campo Santa Maria Formosa just a few steps away, a very large and ample square where you can sit and sip a drink in one of the cafes and people-watch. A large supermarket (large for Venetian standards, anyway!) is just a few steps away, and you'll find bakeries and fruit stands and anything you'll need right there (a laundromat, for example).

The apartment itself is located on the second floor and is about 30 square meters in size. It consists of a living room/entrance area with sofa(bed), with a kitchenette, a bathroom (with large shower) and a bedroom. Like many Venetian homes, you don't get a lot of light, but the calm makes up for it!

Alice has recently been renovated and is spotlessly maintained by Nicoletta and Luca, a young couple who live in the Lido area of Venice but come to the city daily to work. They'll take great care of you and are always within reach in case you need anything.
