Casseleria Two
Casseleria Two is a charming one-bedroom apartment situated in the area between Saint Mark's square and the beautiful church of Santa Maria Formosa. The area is packed with shops, restaurants, ice cream places, and cafes. It's the typical Venice you'd expect, with narrow streets and busy life and bridges all around. The street of the apartment, Calle Casseleria, is not a 'through' streets (no tourist hordes) and has a quiet courtyard out front (not for sitting, just for looking!).
There's Campo Santa Maria Formosa just a few steps away, a very large and ample square where you can sit and sip a drink in one of the cafes and people-watch.
A great plus: the square is in full sunlight basically all day from morning to evening. I could never pass by here often enough on my walks through the center.
A large supermarket (large by Venetian standards!) is just a few steps away, and you'll find bakeries and fruit stands and anything you'll need right there.
The apartment is about 25 square meters and consists of a pleasant living room with sofabed facing the courtyard, with kitchenette. To the right of it there's a bedroom with one French-sized bed, a bathroom and a balcony (facing the other side, but another courtyard). The balcony is not really suitable for sitting, but it's a nice plus for letting in some air and sun.
Nina and Francesco, the owners, are a young and very pleasant couple who live close by and take great care of everything, personally meeting their guests upon arrival and making sure you have everything you'll need for your stay.
Please note: a special booking policy applies to this property. Owners accept a cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival without penalty. For cancellations on shorter notice, 30% of the total rental price has to be paid as penalty. You will be asked to accept this policy before we can secure your booking.
Check-in is generally between 4 and 8 pm, check-out before noon.
For arrivals after 8 pm there is a 20 euro check-in fee, arrivals after 1 am are a 40 euro check-in fee.
The owners will be happy to offer a discount for stays longer than 4 nights.
The tourists tax during low season is half the price, 0.75 euros per person.
