Apartment Romite

Romite is a very nice and very Venetian apartment, situated in an elegant building with two other vacation homes and three private apartments (all owned and managed by the same family). It's composed of a pleasant dining/living room area (with a 'living' area with a sofabed and coffee table, and an eating area with table and chairs, plus a fully equipped kitchen corner). There are two bedrooms and one bathroom (with shower, no tub).
The windows lead out to the private garden of the building on the one side and to the beautiful canal Rio de La Romite on the other side.
The rooms are furnished with a mix of original family furniture and some modern pieces, maintaining the Venetian character (original flooring, typical Venetian finishes etc).

Carlo, the owner, is a pleasant, open-minded and multi-tasking native Venetian who has returned to his native city to look after the family home after traveling around quite a bit. He's supervised the renovation work and now lives on the top floor of the same building.

The area is great for a stroll, with the beautiful "Rio de La Romite", nice restaurants, wine bars and shops right downstairs (Carlo will be happy to point them out to you). You're close enough to walk to the most important sites, and there are two vaporetto stops very close by.
The "Accademia delle Belle Arti" is only about a 2-minute walk away, as is its bridge. The bridge, Ponte dell'Accademia, will take you across the Grand Canal, and to the area of Campo Santa Margherita, a famous meeting point for aperitivi and restaurants. The Venice train station is also only about a 15-minute walk away.
