Ca' Francesco - 1-bedroom is situated right in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto of Venice. (and thus also close to the train station), overlooking the square Campo Gheto Vecio. (There are three squares or 'campi' in the ghetto: the old square, the new square, and the very new -- or 'nuovissimo' -- square... and nobody really knows which one's which, but don't worry, one is next to the other!)
It's one of those typical apartments with exposed wood-beam ceiling, thick walls and history woven into it all. About 55 square meters and recently restored, it's ideal for families or small groups (up to 4 people): composed of a good-sized entrance/living room area with kitchenette and sofabed and a double bedroom plus a bathroom (with shower stall).
The area surrounding the apartment, Sestiere Cannaregio, is one of the most popular and typically characteristic areas of Venice. Two minutes to the closest boat stop allows easy connections to the northern islands -- Murano, Burano and Torcello. The Grand Canal is only 200 meters from the apartment and both the Rialto and Saint Mark's Square are within easy walking distance.
The owners are very accommodating and warm people with a great sense of humor, they'll make you laugh when explaining the apartment to you!
Please note: Ca' Francesco does not accept arrivals before 14:00 and it is not possible to arrive earlier in the day to store luggage.
