Casa Yellow Vaticano is a beautiful apartment practically across the street from the entrance to the Vatican Museums -- just cross the street, go up a flight of steps, and you'll be in front of the big Vatican wall, which leads to the Museums entrance. The owner, Francesco, used to live in the apartment so he still considers it his "home" and takes special care of it, always making sure that it's impeccably clean and everything is in perfect working order. It's newly renovated and furnished, with a modern style and cheerful colors -- both the yellow accents in the decorations and the bright sunniness of the apartment make it "Casa Yellow"! It's on the top (4th) floor of a small, typically Roman residential building (with elevator), with views on two sides and four big windows looking out onto the pretty courtyard. There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a bathroom attached (it has a tub with shower attachment); the living room has a fold-out sofabed. Please note there is only one bathroom in the apartment so it's best suited for a family or group of close friends, as the guests sleeping on the sofabed in the living room will need to go through the bedroom to get to it. There is also a very well-stocked kitchenette (with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave), a storage closet, and walk-in wardrobe. It's equipped with central heating, air-conditioning, a big TV, and WiFi access (2 euros extra per day). Guests have access to the building's rooftop terrace (just across the hall from the apartment), perfect for having a coffee in the sunshine to start your day (also handy for smokers as the apartment is non-smoking!) The area is full of restaurants, coffee shops, and other stores, and there is a local fruit and vegetable market nearby. The nearest metro is about a 10-minute walk and there are many bus stops around as well, so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere in the city.
