Gill on Oct 2017:

Very well kept traditional Roman apartment. The style of the apartment and its location give you the experience of living like a local. Good communication with the contact, Lucilla. Great Location. All the major tourist sites are walking distance - the furthest would be about 30 minutes. Very close to Piazza Farnese, Campo di Fiori, the river and the bridges over to Trastevere.
There is very little natural light despite the large windows but I guess that's a feature of many apartments of this era and in this location, built so closely together.. Don't let that put you off though - the lighting in the apartment is great. The apartment has its own little balcony with table, chairs and plantings.
This is my third time using Cross-Pollinate and the instructions are always clear and straightforward. The communication is great and their response to any questions is prompt and helpful.

Lucillia was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful first time in Rome. Her property is beautiful and the photos don't do it justice. It is also a great place to explore Rome from as it is central to the main tourist attractions (Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon). Would highly recommend!

Lucilla and Emiliano are beyond words, from the time of arrival we were greeted with the most welcoming and loving manner possible. Emiliano patiently sat down with me and my girlfriend and helped us understand the city, gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants, monuments, desirable city locations, parks and even ordered us a taxi when we left. The property was perfect, from a clean, quite, cozy and spacious living room and bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast foods, fruits, coffee and tea! The location of the property was perfect, being a short and desirable walking distance to all the sightseeing monuments!, amazing restaurants and just around everything you would want on a trip to Rome. Lucilla and Emiliano are such amazing host, i couldn't recommend a better place to stay well in Rome!

The apartment looks nice and is well situated. - Richard (Mr Lagarde’s son)
Globally, the apartment is in poor condition : the wiring is to blame (the electric meter never stops tripping); the windows need to be replaced (it was raining inside the bedroom’s window) and there\'s no mechanical ventilation in the bathroom. The sofa needs to be changed (2 people just can’t sleep normally in it and the mattress is just awful). The bedroom’s matress needs to be replaced too. There was not enough blankets whereas it was quite chilly. but the comfort and equipments are pretty bad:
We could not rent the appartment we initially chose, that\'s why Cross pollinate proposed us the \"appartamento farnese\". We we\'re afraid that 2 people can\'t sleep on the living room\'s sofa but Cross pollinate told us it should be OK. In fact, we were right : the sofa was horribly tiny and uncomfortable.

The location was excellent, just a few streets away from the Campo dei Fiori and close to the river. Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, and the many restaurants near them, are within easy walking distance. Multiple bus lines travel the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, a 5-minute walk away, providing easy access to many parts of the city. The apartment was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. While there were problems with the Internet service during our stay, it was a temporary issue that the owner did his utmost to rectify (and did so successfully). Indeed, the owner was very responsive, easy to work with, and has an excellent command of the English language, a real plus for non-Italian speakers.
Providing dishwashing soap in the kitchen and hand soap in the bathroom would be helpful, and some basic instructions on how to operate the TV remote in sync with the satellite unit would help as well.
They were helpful, and it was a very easy and quick process to make a reservation. A great experience.

Loved this place. Great location near bus stop and grocery store. Kitchen was small but we were able to cook since it had most everything you needed.
Nothing
Very helpful in locating this apt when the one we wanted was unavailable.

Your staff at the Beehive assisted me in my last minute search for guest housing in Rome. They were super helpful and so nice to deal with. I live in Rome and often have visitors. I would use your site again and again after this experience.
Emily on Dec 2012:

The location was wonderful. It was convenient to many areas of Rome and had such lovely piazzas right around the corner. The apartment was quiet and peaceful.
The apartment has limited hot water (about 7-10 minutes depending on how warm you like your shower) and the water boiler took about 45 minutes to completely reheat. We weren't expecting this, but we developed a habit of staggering showers throughout the night and morning.
Cross-Pollinate was awesome! You made it incredibly easy to make the reservation and to get to/from the apartment. We felt well taken care of throughout the week.
Russell on Jun 2011:

This was our favorite apartment of our entire stay. Though it had no view to speak of, it had a washer, a tiny (but quite usable kitchen), and an absolutely perfect location. We were close to a grocery store and to the things we needed to get to. We would stay in this apartment again in heartbeat if we ever return to Rome and the price remains affordable.
When we arrived we were exhausted (we'd flown in from New York and your car service was a God-send), and when we called the number of the apartment we thought we were told to wait outside the apartment building, so we did. I speak Italian, but barely passably. We waited almost an hour until another couple came out who spoke English and told us to go in and call again, which is what we did, and then we got in immediately. So, it was fine, we just didn't understand the directions, plus we were pretty tired, so that likely played a part as well.
This was the first place we stayed, and we were nervous about staying in Rome because of the price and worry about location, but the Cross-Pollinate staff was very patient and helpful, and we ended up being really pleased with the experience.
