A place to retreat that offers budget travelers what most hostels or affordable hotels don't: cleanliness, intimacy and a cheerful environment. Best suited for young/physically fit travelers. Tiny studio apartment, recently renovated. Wooden floor, custom made furniture, and an overall makeover with environmentally friendly material. The pluses: a cheerful and colorful little place, with a new but warm feel, however small, but with space to unpack for a few days, situated in a small and intimate historic apartment building. Perfect for a person traveling alone, a couple, two close friends or even a couple with one little child. Very close to public transportation--a direct bus will take you to the city center in 30 min. Wifi-internet. The negative sides: Rather noisy (the two windows are on street level--it is a closed street, but pedestrians pass and chat so you get "people noise", not traffic noise!) no bathroom door (just a curtain to divide spaces), warm water only for quick showers (even several one after the other, but no half-hour showers possible.) Small! Overall: it is a special place, which will reward, rather than punish, the budget traveler.
