Cédric, a young, professional waiter, recently bought this apartment on the first floor of a completely restored building. His apartment is sytlish, simple, clean and well presented. He shares it with one guestroom, which has a private shower and sink - the toilet, typical of many French apartments, is separate. The guestroom has 2 single beds which can be kept separate or made up together to be a proper, queen size double. Guests are served breakfast and can also use the kitchen to cook for themselves, can lounge in the living room and take advantage of the computer there (with high speed internet) or Wifi.

About the area:

Two of Europe's busiest railways, Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, are located here in the blue-collar 10th. Around the stations there's an ethnic vibe, with food from around the globe, and the worth-visiting Rue de Marseille, dubbed "le petit Bombay" due to the plethora of Indian restaurants. There's also an area where hairdressers traditionally found their supplies, which is now a great place to have your dreadlocks checked. Along the Canal Saint Martin, however, you have a promenade that is car-free every Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday, and you'll find bicyclers and rollers skaters galore. The streets that line the canal are loaded with cafés, restaurants and bars, and a nightlife scene starting to catch up with the hipper 11th Arrondissement just below. At the south, where the 10th, 11th and 3rd all meet, is the historic Place de la République, built under Baron Hausmann's urban development in the early 1800's.
