Anna Rosa's B & B
Anna Rosa's is a charming little bed and breakfast just a few blocks south of Termini train station near Piazza Vittorio. Nearby are lots of markets and restaurants and the biggest fruit and vegetable market in Rome (Esquilino market at Piazza Vittorio) which is perfect for those who want to take advantage of the communal kitchen. (Please note that the owners allow guests to store food in the refrigerator to prepare light meals and heat water for coffee, tea, etc., but that cooking meals is not permitted.) There is a nearby metro station that connects quickly to the Vatican city and Piazza di Spagna, while the sites of ancient Rome, such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum are a short walk away. The B & B is basic but comfortable, and rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, TV, and private bathroom. Guests should be aware that breakfast does not get rave reviews as it's a very light version of Italian breakfast with few choices available.
