Located near the Vatican, this 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment is the perfect base for a family or two couples who want to be more independent and have access to a kitchen as well as a small private garden area. The bedroom is small and simple, but pleasant, with a queen bed. The living room has a sofa that can fold out into a queen-sized bed in case of 3 or 4 people staying. Also in the living room is a table big enough for 4 people to eat at, a TV, and a stereo. A set of glass doors lead out onto the small patio/garden area, which is decorated with green plants and flowers, and a small table and chairs, making it a nice spot to sit outside and relax with a glass of wine and a good book - or, in the case of 2 people, the table is big enough to have your meal outside on a warm summer evening. The kitchen, next to the living room, also has a door leading directly out onto the patio and it's newly renovated with all the necessities - stove, oven, fridge, teapot, coffee maker, and cooking and eating utensils. The bathroom (with shower, no tub) is in the main hallway, and it's newly renovated as well. The apartment, which has air-conditioning, is near a busy street, but set back far enough in the back part of the building that you don't get any traffic noise in the bedrooms. You can hear the traffic a bit while you're on the patio, but not enough to be bothersome. The location is central enough that it's easy enough to get around the city by bus or metro, but off the main tourist track. You'll find plenty of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and coffee bars in the immediate neighborhood so that you can live like a local during your stay in the apartment.
