Casa della Palma Guesthouse

Located in the heart of San Lorenzo, the university neighborhood just northeast of Termini train station, Casa della Palma, and their annex, "Camere Segrete" a block away, are truly unique. Alessandro, the owner and builder of just about everything inside, has 7 rooms, plus more doubles in the annex, all with air-conditioning, satellite TV, CD player, electronic mini-safe, mini-fridge, and telephone (local calls are free and they also sell inexpensive international calling cards.) Each room has a private ensuite bathroom with either a bathtub with shower attachment, or a shower. Also available to guests are bicycles, a computer with free Internet access in the common area, and tourist information. Inside the peaceful courtyard, guests can escape the chaos of Rome and relax with a cappuccino or glass of wine. The guesthouse is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted in the courtyard. A continental breakfast is offered for an additional 7 Euros per person per day. Casa della Palma offers regular double rooms which are a perfect size for couples, as well as "Double Plus" rooms, a much larger double-occupancy room that has the possibility of having 2 separate beds (a double and a single) for an additional 7.5 Euros per person per night. Each "Double Plus" room has a computer with free Internet access inside the room. A small extra bed for a child can be provided for free upon request in the "Double Plus" rooms. There are also larger rooms that can accommodate families up to 5 people. Otherwise, it the "camere segrete" which are about 50 meters from the main facility, guests can have 2 single beds in a normal priced double room, which would then include access to the main facilities as well as a computer with free internet and wifi, and free calls. A garage for cars is also available from 14-18 Euros per day depending on the size of the car.
