Marijana B & B

This small, family-run B&B offers one double room with private ensuite bath, as well as a sleeping area in a loft over the common room, in case of a group of 3 or 4 people. Run by a friendly Croatian woman, Marijana, and her daughter (they speak Italian, English, and Croatian fluently) it has a homey atmosphere, as the entrance and common area is shared with the owners. Upon entering the apartment is the common room -- a living room / kitchen combination. The kitchen is fully equipped and is available to guests for light use (storing things in the refrigerator, making small meals, etc) and Marijana also offers a dinner service for guests who want to stay in and chat with the owners over a typical Italian meal. Guests are welcome to relax in the living room, watch TV or a DVD, and use the computer to get online. Above the living room is the open loft area, which has 2 single beds. Through a door in front of the kitchen area is a sliding door leading to the bedroom and ensuite bathroom. (Another door next to that leads to the owners' sleeping quarters which are separate.) The bedroom is extremely small, but it's sunny and bright, decorated pleasantly in a fresh green and violet theme, and has air-conditioning to keep it cool in the summertime. The bathroom, just next to the room, is also very small but clean and completely redone with blue-and-green tiling to create an "ocean" effect. Please note that because the entrance and common area are shared with the owners, and the sleeping area in the loft is open, this B&B is NOT recommended for guests who require a high level of independence and privacy. This is ideal for families or friends who are looking for a more traditional bed & breakfast experience, renting a room in a family's home. The B&B is located in the Piazza Vittorio neighborhood, a short walk to Termini station, and to the metro line A and many bus stops, making it easy to get into the historic center and around town.
