Locanda de' Ciompi is a cozy, traditional-style Bed & Breakfast in Santa Croce, one of the oldest quarters of historic Florence. From the windows of the B&B, you can enjoy a view of the Loggiato del Pesce, which houses an antiques flea market. In Santa Croce, you are a quick walk or bus ride from all the main tourist sights of Florence (just 300 meters from the Accademia, Piazza Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria), and the neighborhood offers everything from theaters to art galleries, and from home-style trattorias to elegant restaurants. The B&B is situated on the first floor (no elevator) of a 600-year-old building with its entrance in Piazza de' Ciompi. There are 5 rooms, each with its own unique theme and colors: for example, the Camera de' Notai with its old-fashioned Tuscan décor in gold; the Camera de' Pellicciari with its old England style in pink; and the Camera de' Ciompi with its noble Italian home style in blue. The rooms all have air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini-fridge, and hair dryer. Breakfast is included and guests have access to an Internet station in the B&B.
