A really great idea - with a network of hand picked little rooms/guesthouses. If only we could have this in more city destinations! - Zoe Buck

The two places I have stayed at from Cross-Pollinate have been among the best across Europe. Highly recommended. - Nicholas Burn
Thanks a lot to Cross-Pollinate for the opportunity to experience a city as an insider! We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Venice and look forward to more. - Tatiana Marchenko
Cross-Pollinate was very helpful when the owner of the B&B wanted to charge us for the baby under 2 y o. It would have been difficult without them since the owners did not speak any english. - Yulia Pichugina
This was our only stay with a C-P apartment and we were very pleased with the entire process. Will look to use them again on our next Europe trip! - Anthony Giglio

Cross Pollinate was just the best. I had tried a couple of places before coming upon them. As soon as I sent the first email I stopped looking for any more websites. I just wish they expanded to every city in Europe. Their knowledge, helpfulness, etc. was second to none. - Caroline Collis
Casa Corsi
Casa Corsi is a charming 3-bedroom guesthouse located in the center of Florence, less than a 5-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk from the historic center. This guesthouse is a truly family-run operation, with Signora Roberta checking in guests and taking care of the cleaning, her husband doing repairs and maintenance work, and her three adult children each lending a hand in different areas -- one does the computer work, one speaks several languages and helps with checking in foreign guests, and another (an agriculture student) takes care of the garden. The guesthouse was recently restructured and boasts a corridor with the exposed original brick and stones from the Arno river. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with 1940s marble flooring which was carefully conserved during the restoration. The guesthouse has 2 bathrooms (with shower, no tub). They can be shared by the 3 rooms, or upon request one of the rooms can have a private bathroom (as it's possible to access the bathroom directly from the room) for an extra cost. There is also a common area with terra cotta floors, a large table, and a kitchen that guests can use to prepare meals. The kitchen has a large picture window looking out onto the inner garden of the building, and in the summer guests can relax at the tables outside and enjoy the fresh air surrounded by laurel trees. The guesthouse has the advantage of being naturally cool in the summer and warm in the winter, as it's located on the ground floor of a very old stone building. The guesthouse also offers WiFi, a TV in the common room, use of iron, use of washing machine, and a telephone in the common room to make local calls or to receive calls. For an additional 2.50 Euros per person per night, the owners offer a breakfast voucher for a nearby cafè -- they can be purchased upon arrival at the guesthouse.

Roberta was very nice with us. Location is quite good to visit Firenze.
bathroom and toilets are in the same room. So it is not easy to have a place when the guesthouse is full.

Roberta was just wonderful! Kind and helpful, she greeted us with cookies and coffee and let us know that the kitchen was free to use as was the high-efficiency washing machine. The guest house was just great with fresh white linens and towels, a new bathroom and shower. Clean and fresh and light. The proximity to the train was perfect and easy to find. The lovely garden outside the guesthouse was quiet and peaceful. Roberta's daughter, Alisa (sp?) was enthusiastic and energetic. We talked while she tended the garden. She speaks English very well! We are home in Massachusetts now ,and after visiting other places in Italy, the Casa Corsi remains a highpoint for us. We hope to visit again sometime.
Before we left for our trip, we were a bit apprehensive. Booking things online for places unknown can always cause some trepidation, but our concerns were allayed and we are now happy loyal fans! Everything went smoothly, thanks to everyone involved from the taxi driver who met us at the airport to the homeowners of the two places we stayed. We'll definitely use cross-pollinate again!

Roberta, our hostess, was outstanding! Her english was excellent and she made us feel welcome with coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The triple guest house was very quaint and confortable - walking through the garden to get there with the blooming Magnolia tree was specacular. Super close to the train station and walking distance to everything. One of our favorite places on the trip!

Roberta is very kind and gracious. She makes you feel right at home. The location although not right in the heart of town is easy walking distance to everything. The kitchen is a great place to hang out and meet other travelers. In fact, not only did we cook a few meals ourselves but we stayed up into the wee hours of the morning chatting with other visitors. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any of my friends!
Just a couple of things to warn people if they are picky ( we are not and especially for the price you pay and the helpfulness from Roberta)... our room smelled like cigarettes, there was only one bathroom for several people so there can be a line at times, and the walls are thin.
Great service! We also stayed at The Bee-hive in Rome which was also fantastic and highly recommended.

The owner - Roberta was lovely. She really wanted us to feel welcome and we did. There were a few students from other countries studying in Florence staying there too so we got plenty of local information from them. The location is great - so easy for the train and bus stations and then a short walk into the center of town. Very comfortable and I would stay there again.
Cross-Pollinate are great - the descriptions are accurate and they are very responsive to questions.

Roberta (owner) and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. it's a great location close to station and only 10 min walk to centre of town and great value given you can cook meals if you wish.

Casa Corsi was blocks away from the train station and easy to find. Huge plus for us Americans with little Italian. The owner could not have been nicer or more friendly. The accommodations were warm and cozy but not small. We spent one evening eating on the patio enjoying their flowers and the lovely atmosphere. It's been a year and a half since our trip and we still talk about how wonderful our stay was in Florence.
can't think of a thing
Easy and accurate about the accommodations

Ease of getting to the apartment from train station, adequate facilities for self catering, complimentary web access, security
Signage from the outside of the apartment. It was not the most obvious.
Reliable and consistent; very good experience overall

Our host was very nice and made us feel at home. Had a small garden area in the back of the house and we were able to relax there as well.
Really appreciated working with Cross-Pollinate in setting up lodgings in Venice, Florence and Rome. Will use them again.

The establisment was close to the rail station and places to eat. Also centraly located from most of the sites in the city. You had full access to the kitchen and the staff was the best you could ever ask for. Very quite and dark, no road noise, so resting from your day out and about was very peacful. Will gladly stay there again if I am ever to stay in Fireniza Italy again. In fact we stayed there rwo more days than planned. Great place to day trip to Piza from.
Cross-Pollinate is a nice place and helpful, as we were mostly free lancing our trip. They were a big help in finding places for us to stay, in those cities, where we were visiting.

Wonderful value in the centro pieno. Clean if a trifle austere rooms, shared bathroom (nice), shared kitchen (just like home), a use of a beautiful little courtyard and a wonderful and friendly proprietress, Roberta. All at a most reasonable cost. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Firenze.
