Dimora Altea B & B

Dimora Altea is a charming B & B located near the Santa Maria Novella train station, just a short bus ride, or a long stroll, from the historic center of Florence. The B & B is still pretty new, having opened just a couple years ago after a complete renovation by the original owner; now the B & B is being run by her sons, Matteo and Alessio. They take good care of the B & B, keeping the six rooms in pristine shape. All the rooms are furnished in typical traditional Florentine style and equipped with private bathroom, TV, air-conditioning, mini-bar, and WiFi. The highlight of the B & B -- at least in good weather -- is the beautiful red brick rooftop terrace overlooking Florence and the nearby hills. There are tables for eating breakfast in good weather, and loungers for those who want to relax by sunbathing. Two of the rooms open directly onto the terrace, while guests in the other rooms can access it easily through the hallway.
