Tre Gigli is a homey and personal B&B with 3 guest rooms and 1 shared bathroom. There's also a kitchen available for guest's use with a toaster, microwave, oven and stove. Breakfast items are left in the room (simple packaged pastries, etc.) so guests can have breakfast when they want. In the fridge, there's space for guest's food, as well as other breakfast items stocked for each room on arrival.

The rooms themselves are colorful, clean and spacious, with parquet floors, TV and air-conditioning. A USB WIFI modem can be loaned out on request as well.

Only a 5 minute walk from the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, it's ideal for someone who just wants to park their bags and set out to see Florence. From here, you can walk to the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria in about 10 minutes. The neighborhood, which has an interesting past as the home of the Vespucci family, is now a mix of traditional bakeries, ethnic kebab places, and a notable vegetarian restaurant - BVeg. Past this point, traffic is mostly blocked, so if you're arriving by car, this is a good area to be in. The owner has negotiated discounts with a nearby garage, or can help you find free nearby parking; she can also organize transportation to and from the airport.

The owner, Fernanda, is an animal lover and isn't shy about expressing the need for animal rights throughout her B&B. Although she certainly won't give you a hard time if you're a meat eater, and is happy to make good suggestions for both meat eaters and non. She prides herself on spending a good deal of time at check-in to really give guests a good orientation of the city and answer any questions.
