Apartamento Los Wiwoos
Apartamento Los Wiwoos is a bright, colorful apartment located on the ground floor of a residential building in a neighborhood called Clot, close to Gaudí's Sagrada Familia (10-15 minutes walking) and the Modernist building Hospital de Sant Pau. The apartment is large (65 square meters), with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can sleep up to 6 people.

The rooms are all painted in vivid colors, the ceilings are high, and the living room in particular gets a lot of natural light as the side of it facing to the street is all frosted glass. The master bedroom has its own bathroom (with shower) in the room, a double bed, air-conditioner, access to the terrace, and there is also the possibility of adding an extra foldout bed or baby crib. The other bedroom is a little smaller, with a double bed, and there is another full bathroom in the halway. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals and there is a dining table that seats 6 in the living room area. The living room also has a sofa that turns into a double sofabed, a TV, DVD player, CD player, and air-conditioning. The apartment also has WiFi and a washing machine.

There is a spacious private terrace (16 square meters) equipped with table, chairs, and umbrella so you can eat meals outside or relax with a glass of wine and a book. The terrace is in the inner courtyard of the building so there's no view, but it does get natural light.

The neighborhood is residential, off the VERY well-beaten tourist track of central Barcelona, but still very close to the center of the city and very easy to get around using the metro, which is just a few blocks away. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the Old City, to be able to come home and sleep soundly without much street noise, or relax at a cafe in the morning. It's right on the edge of a pleasant pedestrian street with benches, trees, shops, and lots of restaurants and cafes.

The apartment owners, Simone, an Italian who has lived in Barcelona for years, and his Spanish wife Sandra, are very welcoming and helpful, and between the two of them they speak several different languages.

Wendy Lebow on Dec 2017:

We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and Sandra’s kindness while we were in Barcelona. The apartment was cheery, spacious, well-furnished, and well-stocked. It was also very nice to have a washing machine because we were there for a week. Sandra and Simone were very responsive to questions. They brought extra heaters to the apt.; we were there during a cold snap. We loved the neighborhood and how close anything we needed was. The Metro was great and we took it everywhere that we didn’t walk to. We love Barcelona and hope to visit again. If we do, we hope the apt. will be available.
Really nothing. It took us a while to figure out the best way to use the heater. It confused us at first because it was so different than what we were used to. But it got sorted out fine.
Cross-Pollinate staff were helpful and answered my questions. They were responsive and replied in a timely way. The description of the apt. was accurate. Thanks!
Tracey on Dec 2016:

The first great part of the Apartmento Los Wiwoos was the friendly welcome by Sandra. She got my family's trip off on the right foot. Another thing I really enjoyed was the back terrace. It was quiet and peaceful. Finally the apartment had everything we needed. After a long flight my teenage son was dehydrated and to be greeted with a big bottle of water helped him out a lot.
Happ with all.
It was easy and flexible. I hope I can use you again.
Mary Anne on Apr 2016:
The owners were super nice. The apartment was good. It is in a residential neighborhood about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia so not near city center, but easy access to the metro. It is very convenient to neighborhood shops, bakeries, and restaurants. The owners were very helpful.
Brianne on Jun 2015:

Great apartment in a quieter neighborhood, just off a lovely pedestrian street with bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Simone and Paulo were wonderfully friendly and accomodating.
Beds and bedding were just fine, but could be higher quality/more comfortable.
Super responsive and helpful!
Elaine on Apr 2015:

Fabulous large apartment including location near major metro stations and amenities in apartment. Sandra was very helpful and it was very nice to have a welcome pack of milk, juice, water and snacks. In addition, there were condiments, olive oil, canned goods etc left from previous tenants which was handy. The apartment was very nice, and clean. You could tell the owner cared about the condition of the place. Nice touches like magazines, games, dvds, books in several languages. We also appreciated that it was on the ground floor with lots of light in living room. Sandra answered emails promptly so we felt confident we could reach her if need be. Location was near La Sagrada Familia so we did usually go to other sites by metro because of city size. 10 out of 10. We have stayed in quite a few apartments over 2 months in Spain, and yours was the best.
There seems to be little or no quality control on booking.com for apartments. We are looking forward to our stay in Paris with you!
Julie Predmore-Fossum on May 2014:

I loved being in a residential neighborhood and coming "home" to my own apartment. The Sagrada Familia is only a 10 minute walk, and is absolutely breath taking. Likewise, the metro is close and easy to learn. Sandra was very helpful in getting me oriented to the city. The apartment itself was bright, comfortable and felt very homey.
The only thing I can think of is that the water took a little while to heat up. Otherwise, everything I needed was in the apartment.
This was the first time I rented an apartment on one of my vacations. If I had a concern regarding my stay Cross Pollinate and Sandra both were quick with a response. I would definitely use Cross Pollinate again.
